Description for Nash 1957
What ya need is this amazingly beautiful 1957 Nash Metropolitan Coupe.$9,999!!! Kidding me?!?!? Look at this car~!!
Lola is bright red and white and turns heads wherever she goes. The interior features black and white door panels with two-tone black and white seats and is in very nice condition considering it is original. Carpet is in great shape and the rear seat folds down to reveal ample hidden trunk space!
The gauges are in great shape (gas gauge hasn't worked in years, though) and is also original. Heater and AM radio were options on this car and this one has both. Heater works well and has a thermostat so pick a temp, and the thermostat takes care of keeping it there. The radio has never worked while I have owned the vehicle. These are tube style radios and parts are available to make it functional again or there are lots of options for upgrading to something that more suits your style without diminishing from the original styling. Steering wheel is in great shape, too!
There are a few dings but nothing that takes away from the aesthetic of this amazing little car. Chrome on the bumpers is a little thin (front bumper has been replated) but they shine brightly; headlight bezels also shine. Bumper guards show some dings but, again, nothing beyond what would be expected of a car this age. Grill is near perfect and sports a "button" emblem.
Originally the car was Sunburst Yellow and Frost White. The second owner decided to up the game and had Lola painted Mardi-Gras Red to replace the yellow. He was smart and stuck with the factory color and, unless you're looking closely, you wouldn't realize that this wasn't the original paint scheme.
Honestly, she looks like she's ready to lead a parade.
As for drive train, Lola has the original 1500 cc | 90.9 cu in. | 1.5 L. ; Power : 50 BHP (36.8 KW) @ 4250 RPM engine backed by a manual 3 speed. 3 on the tree too!! She's got manual drum brakes and, like many older cars, she benefits from a couple pumps to bring her to a halt. New brake lines were installed 2 years ago. We put 5 brand new tires on her recently and they don't even have 50 miles on them yet. Wheels are original steel painted the body color and all have Metropolitan branded caps.
And did you see that mileage? Those 15,700 miles are ORIGINAL miles!
There are some blisters in the paint but they aren't terrible, window seals are dry and cracked and should be replaced, needs new wiper blades (if you plan on driving her in the rain), window felts are needed.Recent appraisal came in at $15k.
The car is super solid and ready to be enjoyed!!!

Good Luck and Happy Biddin'!!
