History-
The Pao was announced by Nissan Motors at the Tokyo Motor Show, October 1987. Reservations for new Paos started on the 15th January 1989, and continued for a mere three months through to the 14th of April in the same year. This short window produced far more demand than could be accommodated in the short production run of 10,000 units and successful applicants were ultimately chosen by lottery. The Pao was a stable-mate of the Figaro, the S Cargo and the Be-1, all four being designed by Shoji Takahashi in Nissan's famous 'Pike' factory.
Walk around video and running engine available. My wife and I have enjoyed owning and driving this vehicle. It’s very economical (upwards of 50mpg), light and nimble with a leisurely demeanor. Often photographed by curious onlookers it attracts attention wherever you go.
