Description for Nissan L60 Patrol 1969
I purchased two patrols back in Feb, a 1969 that last ran in 2011 and a 1967 that was missing the head. Neither truck had previously been listed on the Patrol60 website registry. My interest was originally in the green 1967, it has the patina that I prefer. Figured I could use the 1969 for parts, but that changed quickly after I found a parts truck with a complete engine. The truck is in mostly original condition, frame and engine number match VIN plate. I have not done much to the truck other than confirm that it would try to start. My friend that was helping was a little slow on adding gas when it started to catch, but it tried to start. I will leave the joy of hearing it run to the new owner. I did changed the oil because the fuel pump was bad and let gas enter the crankcase. The truck had a PTO on it but no shift lever or any signs that it ever had a lever, I have taken it off to use on my 67. I had to make a cover for the trans, so it is a non stock part.Video of starting attempt can be seen on youtube search for:dq2rqf9mkhcthe video is 1:04 long and shows a pretty good attempt at it trying to run. Ebay would not allow me to attach it to the listing so you will need to search but if you copy the above part it will get you there.
The Patrol has a clean title Kentucky title in my name and come with one original Nissan Motor Co. key that works in the ignition and gas cap. The numbers match on the door locks but they do not work. Please see photos for condition of the body. The rust appears to be the typical rust that I see on them. I see a couple non stock changes, the rear bumper, the gas can bracket on the rear door, the tachometer, and the choke cable. All the other switches look to be correct. There is a partial floor mat that covers the shifter cover. All the seats are there but the latches are not. Sun visors and rear view mirror are also intact. There are no tools or manuals that come with the Patrol. All 5 rims are the original 15" split rims and have a date of 11/68 on them. The front axle has Dualmatic locking hubs. The skid plate protecting the trans and t-case is missing, and the side step have been cut off. The engine does have a skid plate mounted to the oil pan, I think this was a option as my other one does not have it. The engine bay looks to be original in fully intact. The 1969 model has clutch master cylinder and alternator that were new for 1969. Even the headlights appear to be original Koito.
Please feel free to ask questions and I can get additional pics if you need them. $250 deposit through paypal balance in cash or US postal money order with waiting period. Buyer responsible for shipping, do not send check over amount expecting me to pay shipper, this is a known scam and I will not participate. I can possible assist in partial or full delivery depending on distance and amount, but that needs to be confirmed prior. Not interested in selling or shipping the Patrol outside of the US. Although the Patrol tries to start and does have some brakes i still consider it a project build, but all the potential and parts are there to restore or build the drivetrain and leave the body like I plan with my 67 Patrol.
