Description for Nissan 300ZX 1992
This is a unique opportunity to purchase a rare slicktop model 300zx, undoubtedly one of the most pristine original examples left in the world. Finished in its original Cherry Red Pearl paint, the exterior is immaculate and stunningly captivating. The interior looks brand new, and still smells like it did when it left the showroom in 1992. This is a time capsule car that is akin to purchasing a new 300zx back in 1992.
This car has 37k miles and has been meticulously cared for over the entirety of its existence. With records dating back from new, it has log books including entires such as “fourth oil change: (date) (oil weight) (mileage). One photo included is the spreadsheet of maintenance over the last 3 years, including new injectors with brand new oem units and a timing belt change 5k miles and 3 years ago. It will not be due again for a long time.
All records are included, along with all 3 original keys (titanium, black, and red valet), original window sticker, manuals, and the aiv system components that were removed by the previous owner. All roof/window/door seals are plush and look brand new. There is no body damage or hidden repairs; all paint is original and there is no rust anywhere. The frame rails and pinch welds are all straight and unmolested.
This car is completely original with the exception of upgraded shocks with the acclaimed adjustable KYB AGX, and the removal of the AIV system. The intake air box is still intact as is the original Bose stereo with 4 fully functioning speakers and working powered antenna. The engine runs smoothly with no hiccups, the transmission shifts like butter, the ac blows cold and both windows open with ease. This car drives like it did off the lot in 1992.
The slicktop model is the lightest and most rigid example of the z32 ever produced. They accounted for less than 3% of all 300zx models, with only a tick over 2000 produced for the US market. All slicktop models were considered base models, all had charcoal cloth interior and were naturally aspirated with manual transmissions. Because it was the lowest-cost, entry level z, very few survived unscathed. You won’t encounter a cleaner original example anywhere. This is the ultimate platform for a collector car, with no leaky roof panels with seals to fail, or for an epic build due to its weight advantage.
I have personally owned over 20 Z32s and have never encountered a slicktop this clean. I hope to see this car end up in the hands of an enthusiast who will appreciate it the way I and its previous owners have.
The car is located in Birmingham, AL. I have the clear title in hand and I am happy to arrange a transport for out of state buyers. Payment is accepted via bank wire or cashier's check.
Regarding the Autocheck report of a minor incident in 2006, according to the previous owner this car has never been in Tennessee nor ever in any accident. The Autocheck report shows airbags deployed, while the Carfax shows no damage reported and no airbags deployed under the same incident. It is our understanding that this reported incident is erroneous and likely a clerical error listed under a similar VIN to the actual vehicle that was in the incident. I have attached a photo of the Carfax report regarding this incident to the Flickr album linked below.
