Description for Nissan 300ZX 1984

This 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo is one of approximately 5,148 50th Anniversary examples produced for the US market to commemorate the anniversary of Nissan’s founding, and it is finished in Light Pewter Metallic and Thunder Blackover black leather upholstery. Power is provided by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes 16″ alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, front and rear spoilers, removable glass T-top roof panels, digital instrumentation, automatic climate control, factory cassette stereo, power windows, locks, and mirrors. The car was acquired by the seller in October 1987. This 300ZX shows 80k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature (pictured) and a clean Kansas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Light Pewter Metallic with gold pinstripes and black lower cladding. Additional exterior details include pop-up headlights, a hood scoop, flared wheel arches, removable glass T-top roof panels, front and rear spoilers, a rear window wiper, and50th anniversary badging. A small ding is visible on the left-front quarter panel (pictured), and other minor blemishes/ paint chips can be viewed up close in the gallery. The car was in a minor accident that caused damage to the left-front quarter panel. The repair was completed by a professional body shop. No known signs of body rust present.

Gold-accented 16″ turbine-style wheels are wrapped in 225/50VR Goodyear Eagle tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners, and the car is equipped with adjustable dampers. Please note all four shocks need to be replaced.

The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Faux wood trim accents the center console and door panels, while 50th anniversary embroidery adorns the seats and floor mats. Amenities include a pneumatically adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, automatic climate control, andan 80-watt Bodysonic cassette sound system. The headliner needs to be replaced (pictured) and the interior dome light cover has a hole in the plastic. The air conditioning compressor has been disconnected and needs to be charged.

The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a digital gauge cluster consisting of a speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary readouts, while a compass and accelerometer are located above the center stack. The fuel gauge is inoperable, according to the seller. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 80k miles. The car has been garaged since the seller purchased and has not been driven in rain or snow since the purchase in 1987. The car has not been driven on the road since 2016. It has been started and backed up into the driveway regularly.

The turbocharged 3.0-liter VG30ET V6 was rated at 200 horsepower and 227 lb-ft of torque when new. The car includes a new battery purchased this summer. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

The buyer will be responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Note due the need for shocks the car should be trailered.
