Up for sale is my 1982 Datsun 280ZX. I bought this car in July 2012 as a hobby for something to do & to spend some money. It had 52. 10 miles when bought. After driving it a few thousand miles to make sure I had no lemon I wheeled it into garage & done following things. Complete Suspension Rebuild - Ball Joints. ie Rods. heel Bearings. hocks & Springs (Tokio) Brake Disc. (Drilled American Made) & Tires. Car had it's Orignal Tires still on it when bought. I then replaced the rear Universal Joints & All Brake Hoses (6 of them) Having no transmission difficulities I decided to replace the clutch anyway because of miles. Original clutch showed normal wear corresponding to miles. have it to prove) Replaced all belts & hoses & flushed coolant system. Gave the car a complete tune-up with plugs. ires. ap & rotor & timing check. I then replaced the whole exhaust system with same type stock & new catalytic converter. When finished took the car to local Nissan Dealership for Compression Check & Full Inspection. PSI Readings came out Excellent. Car had complete diagnostic. uel system check. Came out needing a new fuel regulator & valve cover gasket because I asked the mechanic to check the valves as per specified manual maintenance for miles car had. Valves were fine but did need minor adjustment. All electrical. iagnostic (emissions) & fuel system delivery worked as they should. I forgot to mention that I also replaced all swaybar & suspension bushings front & back. The old ones were brittle & cracking after 30 years. PSI #1-145. #2-150. #3-150. #4-148. #5-148. #6-152Car gets good gas milelage if driven properly @ 24mpg in warm weather & about 18-20 in cold. Hot Highway Miles takes it to around 27. What Don't Work ? Cruise Control. nbsp; worked when bought but quit soon after. Stereo System. I took out the old speakers when had the interior out to work on clutch. Power Attenna. Not caring about a radio I took it out. Car Needs Very minor Body Work as can be seen in photos. Also could use the ceiling material re-glued. Interior Itself is nice. nbsp;no cracks in dash. no marked up or stained seats. Carpet decent enough. Drives Perfect ! Straight. ven & Tight ! Brakes Excellent. NOTE ! THIS IS NOT A FAST CAR ! Most of these cars were beat to oblivion but this one made it. It rides a bit hard because I wanted a sporty & go-cart like feel with no body roll like stock model. Due have stock springs that come with car if you want to soften it up. Have driven the car approx 9. 00 miles since all work done & not even a hick-up. Those 9k miles have taken me almost 2/1/2 years to put on it. Car is always garaged. My Price is Flat & Fair & You will not find one Stock that Runs Better ! So don't even waste your time e-mailing me with offers. Wanted to spend money & work on a car & I did. Just don't drive it nearly as much as I thought I would (Getting Old) & could use garage space. Great Deal for Someone ! I've seen many of these on Ebay over the years & know the crazy prices wanted for low milelage creampuff examples. Problem is these Cars will still need a complete going over due to age alone ! Mine's Done. rive it Now ! Or if you want to make it Show Room with Repaint & Body Work this ones worth it. Lastly All Replacement Parts used were either Japanese or American Made. I Refuse Chinese or Mexican Parts ! PLEASE DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T INTEND ON FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH YOUR COMMITMENT. No Leaks whatsoever. The Air Conditioner Blows Cold. I never use it so therefore never had it Re-Charged. Paint on Car is Original & Good. Does not need to be Repainted except for small spots where rusted. Needs clearcoat on right front 1/4 panel. Sills are Solid (No Rust) Body Shop Guy told me these were Rustproofed many Moons Ago. Alloy wheels are Very Good but could use Good Cleaning ! No Curb Scrapes.
