This car retains ALL its Original K code “Ocean Mist” Paint with no previous body work or accidents. Original Convertible top with Parade Boot & Storage Bag. This car was purchased new from Carl Schmidt Oldsmobile in Ohio on April 21. 1966 by Mr. Harold W. Christy. In 1972 Mr. Christy moved to Fairfax VA and at that time mileage was recorded at 30. 77 miles. In 1974 Mr. Christy moved to Florida and at that time mileage was recorded at 31. 90 miles. The last recorded mileage from the Division of Florida Highway Patrol on 04-17-1979 was 32. 87 miles. The last Inspection from the Division of Florida Highway Patrol was performed on 04-21-1981 with a certificate # 1440717 and that Inspection sticker is still on the windshield. I acquired the car on 05-04-2014 with 36. 35 miles and have enjoyed driving this fine convertible. This car must be driven to truly appreciate the way an unmolested survivor with only 37. 00 miles feels like to drive. It’s a step back in time as you feel like you're in 1966 with the way it drives. Items that have been done to the car as to the best of my knowledge over the years: Water pump replaced Transmission was removed & re-sealed NOS AC Delco fuel pump (have original) New Correct Reproduction hoses (have original upper hose) Alternator Fan Belt Has a rebuilt carburetor Replacement brake booster & master cylinder (have originals) Brake shoes have been replaced Wheel cylinders & rubber hoses have been replaced or rebuilt Original wheels have been replaced with Olds Rally Wheels (have original hub caps) Convertible top motor has been replaced (have original) The body has several dings and small scratches that have been touched up with a brush & DuPont lacquer paint but NO area has every been repainted or repaired. All items work as they should with the exception of the original AM radio volume control. When you turn on the radio the volume is on loud with NO adjustment. Please feel free to call me (John Sinatra) on my cell as I’m available for questions at (321) 403-9060. Inspections prior to auction end are not a problem and are encouraged. This car is being sold “As-Is” with NO warranty provided. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will be available to help with the pick-up arrangements.
