THIS IS AUCTION IS FOR A 1968 442 CONVERTIBLE
I have owned the car since 2009 and its been in storagealmost all the time i have had it. The car was originally from Arizona and we are in Las Vega, o the car has been in the desert most of its life. The previous owner had put a ton of money into it, he motor was completely rebuilt to .30 over all original parts were used. So yes this is a numbers matching car, he glove box door is the only non original part that I know of. The motor had an intake manifold leak, as taken apart and left that way for 6 years. One day I decided to just get it fixed, o I did, e machined boiledandmagna fluxed the original intake manifold. Installed all new gasket, hanged out all the hoses and belts with new ones. New Vacum lines etc. The car started right up and is quiet and smooth. Extremelypowerful engine withplenty of pickup and go. The ac was also upgraded with new hoses gas belts etc. The car blows ice cold air conditioning. The power steerin, ower brake, ights, uspension, or, urn signals, ork great. The car drives nice and straight when you let go of the steering whee, he steering wheel is also in the proper position. Wipers work, lass is all good all around, rivers window has a little plastic guide that broke,it works with a little help. Manual windows all work. The interior is very nice and was probably redone at some time alongwith the carpet. Very little rust, t was in the desert most of its life, owever it does have a little bit, othing major. The floors and trunk all feel solid.Theresa lot of paperwork that goes along with the car, anual, actory assembly guide, ersonal records and more. The tires and wheels are all ne, as tank was replaced with a new one, ual factory replacement exhaus, ar is very quiet and smooth, ew Batter, ilter, tc. 12 bolt posi rear, 00 factory transmission works well, hifts good.Carburetoris original rochester quadrojet sitting on the stock cast iron manifold, lso has the original cast iron exhaust manifolds, nd they do not leak. The convertible top works, he switch was swapped out, guess theycouldn't find the original replacement, hey are readily available now, owever i never got around to it. The top goes up and down ok, here is one little part of the convertible bracket that broke and needs a spot weld, owever it works as is and I never got around to it, he top does have a 4 inch slit in i, s shown in the photos. The car is original red with whitetop and interior. It isalso a factory ac car. Hard to find combination back then. The bumpers and chrome have all been redone and look good. There are scratches imperfections in the paint etc. The radio knob broke off and Idon't know if the 8 track works.Yes you can drive it away, owever i have never driven it more than a few miles away.
