Description for Oldsmobile Cutlass 1967
You're bidding on a great example of a true Survivor car that is 100% complete and never been tampered w or changed in any way. This car was located 3months ago and had been sitting in an enclosed shed since 1984 so is a 'true' Barn Find. Built in the Lansing plant in April 1967. the car originaly was purchased by a man named Cleo Smith in York Nebraska from a local GM Dealer named Geis Motor Co. Cleo bought the car off the show room floor and had driven the car until 1984 when he parked it. The car never moved since and I purchased the car from Cleo in September of this year. The car is absolutely 100 percent complete all the way down to the original floor mats. The only thing missing that i could find were the spare tire jack and the owner's manual which i asked the previous owner to try and locate but with no success. I have included a picture of the original title which you will get a copy of. Car has the original drive train and came with the 330 V8 with the 4 bbl producing 320 hp with a 2 sp column shift Jetaway Transmission. Also came with factory AC. The car sat since 1984 so quite a bit was done to get back in running condition. The transmission was completely rebuilt and refurbished by a local professional transmission shop. new gas tank and fuel sending unit was installed. gas lines were blown out and inspected. oil and radiator fluids were flushed and replaced. brakes were bled and a new master cylidner was installed by a certified mechanic. Car runs exceptionally well and drives good. Does need new tires and she is road ready. This car would make a great driver or would make an even better candidate for full restoration. All panels are original with original paint (paint is chipped on most panels and roof is cracking. car has never been repainted) . chrome is in excellent shape all around and overall the car is very straight. Driver side door trim is missing clips. Rubber on doors. trunk and windows are in great condition. Glass is in excellent condition with the exception of the windshield which has a crack running across the passenger side. Interior overall is in good condition. Driver seat is torn and needs recovered but the headliner. ash. and door panels are all immaculate. Carpet is also decent. the previous owner had removed carpet for storage. Does have some issues typical to a midwest vehicle that has never been restored and is 47 years old. Front floor pans have surface rust. back pans are fine; trunk pan also has surface rust but the passenger side along the seem between the trunk pan and the wheel well is rusted through. If one was to have a nice quality driver you could probably get by with resealing and undercoating but if you were looking to restore the trunk and front floor pans need to be replaced. Also needs new lower rear quarters. wheel wells seem to be ok. Driver side door at one time had a dent that the previous owner tried to pop out so it does have chipped paint and metal is wavy but is repairable without needing to replace the door. Front and rear glass channels are starting to show rust. Doesnt appear to be rusted through and is repairble. Lastly. the front left fender needs repaired/replaced due to rust. Everything else seems to be in good shape including the rockers which are exceptionally well and the door jams. lower doors. front clip/wheel wells seem good. The engine bay would clean up really well. bottom of block was dry so it's not leaking oil. See pics. ask questions. i can get more pics if needed. Car is sold as is. no warranty. Does have clear title. Vehicle shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Vehicle will not ship until FULL PAYMENT is received. Funds need to be paid in full via Wire Transfer or Cash in person. Feel free to email or text/call. 308-550-0442 Thanks for looking!
