(a conduit going under the console to the back seating area/nice idea), ELUXINTERIOR LIGHT GROUP (everything is well lit at night), ECLININGFRONT SEAT/LUMBAR SUPPORT,FOLD DOWN SPLITREAR SEAT BACKS ALLOWING ACCESS TO THE TRUNK CARRYING LONG OBJECTS,FACTORY FOG LIGHTS, EAR DEFOG, OWER ABSDISC BRAKES (that work well), RONT AND REAR SWAY BARS,TWO DOOR (sc)SPORT COUPE, ith unheard of at the time OPTIONAL 16 inch aluminum wheels THAT STILLPOP PRETTY WELL BECAUSE HE PAID OVER $400.00 TO HAVE THE CLEARREFURBISHED. THIS IS ONE LOW PRODUCTION AND HIGHLY OPTIONEDACHIEVA, ND NOT GRANDMAS FOUR DOOR WITH THE SIX CYLINDER WHICH PRODUCED LESS HPTHAN THE FOUR.THE OWNER DROVE IT IN THE SNOW AND SAID IT ISSURPISINGLY GOOD IN THE SNOW WITH THE SIPED SNOW/ALL SEASON KUMHO 16"TIRES, ND FRONT WHEEL DRIVE WITH THE ABS BRAKING.I NOR HE DROVE THE CAR HARD BUT IT MOVES PRETTY GOOD FOR WHAT IT IS. HE DROVE IT IN THE CITY TO THE STORE ETC. PRIMARILY WITH SOME 100 MILE TRIPS.I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IT ONCE OUTSIDE THE SHOP AREA TO SEE IF EVERYTHING WORKED. NON-SMOKER CAR STILL SMELLS RIGHT.TRIP METER DOES NOT WORK.

ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIATHEY MADE A SMALL NUMBER OF1992AND THE 1993 ONLYCARS THATPRODUCED 180 HP WITH THE RAM AIR WHICH IS ONLY 10HP LESS THAN THE ACHIEVA SCX, HICH IS A LOT FOR WHAT IT WASA FOUR CYLINDERIN 1992.IT IS SIGNIFICANT IN GM LINEAGE FOR SEVERAL REASONS, NE OF WHICH IT WAS GM'S FIRST FORAY INTOTHE BIG 2.4FOUR CYLINDER FOURVALVE HEMI HEAD DESIGN THAT WAS THE IMPETUS AND FORMAL PREDECESSORFOR THE VERY SUCCESSFUL AND VENERABLE SATURN SC2 DOHC H/OENGINES. HOWEVER, N MY OPINION AND THAT OF OTHER TECHNICIANS IN 1992 THESE CARS EQUIPPED WITH THIS ENGINEWERE NOT READY TO BE INTRODUCED AND HAD TOO MANY BUGS. SOEVEN THOUGH THESE CARS SO EQUIPPED FROM OLDSMOBILE WERE NOT CHEAP MANY OWNERS GOT RID OF THEIR CARS PREMATURELY, RSOME KEPT THEM AND WORKED OUT THE BUGS ONE AT A TIME. SO IT WAS WITH THE PREVIOUS OWNER, HO LOVED THIS CAR ANDBROUGHT THIS CAR TO ME ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. BELOW IS A LIST OF REPAIRS THAT I HAVE PERFORMED. I WILL HAVE UPLOADED A VIDEO SHOWING THIS CAR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL DUAL MUFFLEREXHAUST SYSTEM THAT IS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE AND DOES NOT EVEN HAVE ANY RUST ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR BECAUSE SOUTHERN OREGON DOES NOT USE SALT THEY USE NON CORROSIVE CINDERS. THIS VEHICLE CAN EASILY BE MODIFIED TO ENHANCE ITS PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS EVEN MOREWITH DIFFERENT EXHAUST AND PROM COMPONENTS BUT THE BEAUTY WITH THIS CAR IS THAT THE BUYER WOULD BE THE ONE TO MAKE THAT DECISION WITH THIS VEHICLE.IT HAS NEVER BEEN MODIFED MUCH LESS PERFORMANCE WISE.I NEVER HAD A REASON TOPAY ATTENTION TO THE MILES ON THIS VEHICLE UNTIL I TOOK POSSESSION OF IT. ALL THE RESEARCH ICAN DO AT MY DMVINDICATES THEY ARE REAL.

IOWN A SERVICEFACILITY ANDI AND OTHERS HAVE MAINTAINED THIS CAR FOR OVER A DECADE.I HAD NO INTENTION OF OWNING OR BUYING THIS CAR, T WAS JUST ANOTHER JOB AND THE OWNER WAS A FANATIC THAT BOUGHT THIS CAR NOT RUNNING AND SPENT AN INSANE AMOUNT OF MONEY OVER THE PERIOD HE HAD IT ON MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. IT HAS NEVER HAD COLLISION THAT WE CAN ASCERTAINBUT HAS BEEN REPAINTED, HE HOOD WAS REPLACED BY US AND I BELIEVE A FENDER (reason unknownto us)AS FAR AS HERE AND THERE BECAUSE THE OWNER WAS OLD,WORE CORRECTIVE EYEWEAR ANDDIDN'T HAVE THE BEST DEPTH PERCEPTION IN LOW SPEED PARKING SITUATIONS. THEY DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB,AS THEYCHARGED HIM ENOUGH. NO $50,000 RESTORATION HERE,BUT GOOD WORK FOR STREET SHOW. HE MET A LADY FRIEND AND SHE TOOK THE ACHIEVAS PLACEFOR HIS ATTENTIONAND HE OFFERED IT TO ME ON THE SPOT FOR A PRICEI COULD NOT REFUSE,BECAUSE HE WANTED A NEWEXPLORER. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS WORTH BECAUSE THERE ARE NOT THAT MANY OUT THERE IN THE MARKETPLACE, UT IT OFFERS A LOT OF TRANSPORTATION VALUE FOR THE MONEY, ITH ALLTHE UGLY BOXYECONOMY VEHICLES OFFERED TODAY. LOT OF CAR FOR THE MONEY!IN ANOTHER YEAR IT WILL BE ELIGABLE FOR HISTORICAL VEHICLE REGISTRATION MAKING IT HIGHLY DESIREABLE/COLLECTIBLE FOR THE CAR SHOW CROWDFOR A VEHICLE OF THIS ERA. I AM OFFERING IT FOR AFRACTIION OF WHAT HE HAD IN THE CAR PRIMARILYBECAUSE I JUSTHAVE TOO MANY CARS TO HOUSE!

PRETTY HIGH TECH FOR GM IN 92 FOR A LITTLE MORE POWER, UTOLDS DIVISIONWANTED TO MAKE A STATEMENT WITH THIS PACKAGE/CAR AND THE DRAG RACING SPONSORSHIP THEY DID AT THIS TIME (see the pin pictured). THIS ENGINE HAS A TIMING CHAIN not a belt. MAY REPLACE THE TPS SOMETIMES HESITATES WHEN COLD. RUNS WELL.
