Car was mostly an original paint/interior car when I purchased in 2012. Car had normal dings/scratches expected of a 50-year old car. Overall original paint was probably 8 out of 10. Trunk rear deck panel, ear bumper, nd trunk lid dented from drivewayincident. Previous owner left car in N and it rolled into a trailer of some sort.
Built at Fremont California production facility.Unlike Detroit cars which can easily have the cowl plate removed and replaced. Fremont built cars do not reflect the 4V code, o much harder to fake without extensive work. All 1965 442 unique items check out, rame, ngine, nd suspension...no evidence of tampering.Combination of original car with recent refresh to include nice quality paint, nd some interior.
Engine and transmission believed original to car. Engine was rebuilt and detailed as seen in pictures. Transmission was resealed only. Crank was drilled to support 4-speed conversion.
Exterior chrome is original to the car and in fantastic shape. Tail panel wasswappedoutbecause of damage. It's presentable, ut not as nice as the rest of the chrome. Tail lights do have some light pitting.
Reason for selling ready to move on to my next 65 project
Would consider an original 65 Cutlass/442/F85 Sport Coupe/Club Coupe/Post Coupe needing restoration as partial trade. Might even consider a 4dr...yes a 4dr but would have to beabsolutelymint and original.
Car runs, rives, nd stops as it should, ut has very limited miles sincerebuild (less than 10).
First few pictures provided give you a good idea of current overall condition. Last couple of pictures reflect car as it was having the dent fixed in rear deck lid and trunk area, ainted and engine rebuild.
Other than some underside cleanup and detail work need this car is nice car presentable car.Prefer potential buyers look at in person.
