Description for Oldsmobile 442 1986

This is a solid, tight Southern Olds. I bought it in South Carolina last summer. It's a very solid car without any body rot. Shortly after buying this 442 I brought it home to North Carolina, I changed the radiator fluid, motor oil, rear differential fluid, cleaned and gaped the plugs and then drove it 750 + miles up to Milwaukee WI for the Olds Nationals where I showed the car. It ran faultlessly and drives beautifully.
After a few days in Milwaukee, I then drove it the 750+ miles back home to NC where I've been driving around town here and there. It turns a lot of heads and it gets a lot of looks. With the Olds 403 Rocket and headers it sounds tough and runs great. Plenty of torque in the Olds 403 V8 too. If you buy this car, you can drive this car home. I would drive it anywhere, even across country without worry.
The bad: paint is losing its clear coat, so it could use a paint job and minor body work to make it look like new. There are several scratches and dings on the exterior too, but no dents. The hood has some very minor surface rust where the paint has come off (very minor). The interior is in really nice original shape, but has some small burns (3) in the drives and passengers seats. There is also a small tear in the driver's seat (not very noticeable thought).
The rest of the interior is in great shape other than the headliner. It's not sagging, but it look like someone tried to put it back up with some kind of spray adhesive and it didn't come out that great; presentable, but has some wrinkles in it. The rubber on the window seals could use replacing too. Luckily, the Buick Regal has the exact same doors as the 442 in 1986 so you can readily get those replacement pieces.
I have a build sheet for the interior of the car that specifies trim as 442. This is a real 442.
If you watch the value of these cars at all, you know they have been increasing in value rapidly. This is a collector car and an excellent driver. You can take the time to restore this car to like new condition or you could drive it for the 30 year old survivor that it is. It looks, sounds and drives really tuff as it is. Call or text Ed
