1957 Olds Starfire 98 frame up restoration started but due to age and heart surgery work stopped on restoration 4 years ago. My dream needs to go to a new home to be finished. Car has been under custom cover since and cranked every so often. J-2 option/carbs were rebuilt but need to be cleaned and adj from sitting as motor now stumbles a bit when running. Factory bat wing air cleaner. Power windows, seats and brakes .Motor was completely rebuilt and painted to factory colors as was also many other parts under the hood (see pics). Vacumm lines under dash and at wiper blades need to be re-hooked up and this will help. Car was rough years ago when purchased but solid. Floor and trunk pans and rocker panels are solid. Gas tank good with no leaks. The entire car was stripped to bare metal and re-primed and painted to a rare factory color combination (see pics). Original owner had car undercoated so frame etc. are in good shape 5 new coker tires - new brake cylinders and shoes - complete new dual exhaust system - stainless trim in great shape - 90 % of chrome inside and out re-chromed - new steering wheel - new installed dash pad - front and rear seats in good shape but could use a good cleaning - headliner, door panels and rear seat side panels need redone (have the old ones for mold) - needs new floor carpet and rear window padding - new trunk liner needed. Many new and used parts included such as used generator/alternator/starter/distributor;. Radio works (2 extra for parts if needed in future). new glove box liner. Dash installed except 2 passenger side trim pieces. Driver and passenger windows were cracked when purchased but have new glass with re-chromed trim and new channels. New rubber trim all around. Nothing missing, have all the parts etc and then some. Have j-2 manual, also factory parts/repair and service books No problem w/inspection prior to bidding; Sold as is. Pick-up only within 7 days. I would suggest a truck to load the seats and other parts into as the seats are out The car is not perfect but I've not seen any that are.
