Description for Oldsmobile Cutlass 1986
Hello. am looking to sell my 1986 cutlass salon. I will first list off the standard features. what has been replaced in parts. the good and then the bad. This is a pretty clean car all around and it runs and drives. there is no known mechanical issues. It is mechanic owned and drivenI have all documentation and receipts for this car from 1986 through today. All service records dealer info etcFeatures:No power windows or locks (so no messing with replacing electronic parts which i personally like)Engine- V8 olds 307 all original and stock-runs very clean turns right over in sub zero temps after it was sitting in storage for three weeks. transmission-200r4 over drive which has been rebuiltBody is clean and straight-primer painted. (very good quality primer. not the crap that will rust right through)will come with extra set of rims and chrome trimming for all the wheelstires on it have a year or so maybe on them. not great but certainly reliable enough to get you by for awhilerear no posi i believe the rear end has 2. 23 gearingall original interior. car will come with several interior pieces as extra parts off other cutlass projects along with some extra mechanical parts such as brake booster. master cylinder ecthas quad jet carbRecently replaced:All beltssome hosesvacuum linestuned carbnew air filternew pcv filternew fuel filternewer wiresand brand new spark plugs (timing has been set to manufacture specs)new distributor cap and rotor fluids changed all around except on rear endall new chrome locking lug nuts all around due to the fact that the old ones were starting to split at the chromenew pre heater hose ( not a huge deal but it is new)Brand new batteryand a few other ins and outs ( i have maybe 250 bucks in new tune up parts into from this past summer)rear main seals40 series flow master mufflerThe good:Body is clean and straight ( only one very small patch of bondo that i could find when i bought it from the last owner (maybe 5in long by 1 inch wide)interior is very cleaneverything interior wise is in working order. all lights. cluster. radio ectmechanically no known issues. Rebuilt transmission. motor purrs. starts right up. shifts extremely smooth. no hiccups no stutter. goes down the road very nice for its ageall glass is good. no chips cracks or anything like thatall lights on the outside are good no cracks scuffs or anythingthe bad:needs headliner (backboard is still there and may put headliner in before sold)Chrome hinge seat covers one on each seat were broken when i bought the car. I have the pieces but need new ones. side trim piece on outside of car came off. not broken just needs to be fastened back on. never put it on because i figured someone will be painting it anyway. car has slight pull to the right when driving down the road. not bad. just typical misalignment of a near 30 year old car. one small scratch on body where primer was taken off. maybe a few inches long. just needs to be touched up before paint. not a huge dealinside the trunk. pretty common rusting on inside by spare tire. most g bodies ive seen like this one do the same thing. its really the only bad spot on the car. Otherwise no other rust rotting or anything. under body has surface rust but no rot. frame is good and floor panels are solid. this is certainly a very dependable and good project car or restore. i am only selling due to the fact that i took a big pay cut at work to start an apprenticeship and with school and new position i like the time and funds quite frankly. I picked the car up for 3000 bucks this past spring. I put about 300 into it to get it running smoother. plus all the parts that i will give along with the car including the set of rims. thats a few hundred extra right there alone. i am obviously listing it at 3. 00. 00. i like to keep that price close but obviously there is some wiggle room. as i need the car gone within the next month or so. please feel free to message me through ebay for more details or questions. thanks for looking!
