A rare car in General Motors history and one of the very first with the VIC (Visual Information Center) display touch screen that are so common today. The display is a CRT type. not one of those LCD displays that are hard to read in daylight. This car has a NEW rebuilt transmission. NEW paint job. nbsp; NEW front end Control Arm Bushings. NEW velocity joints. NEW struts. shocks. NEW air conditioner compressor. nbsp;and NEW battery. It runs like a top. Classic styling. great road car (comfortable and solid). reasonable fuel economy (19-20 mpg in town and 26-27 highway) w/ regular fuel; great responsiveness for a 6 cylinder; loaded with all the bells and whistles. It has never left me stranded in the 16 years I have owned it. It is fun to drive with plenty of power. Handles very well. I still drive this car to work every day. I hate to sell it but I have 5 cars and need to scale down my fleet in my old age. I purchased this car in 1998 from original owner who was an electronics engineer where I work. He kept the car in tip top shape and had the dealer do all repairs and scheduled maintenance. I too am an electronics engineer and maintained it with the same love and care as he did. and that is why this car is in such great condition for it's age. I have the shop manual and did most of my own maintenance and repairs. I have a log you will get of ALL the work and maintenance that had been done to this car from the day it was new. Everything in this car works as it should except for the interior lights that should come on when you lift the door handle or press the key fob for interior lights. This is due to a bad switch in the driver's side door handle. and I just didn't bother to fix it. The lights do come on when you open the door. I disabled the anti- theft circuit which senses and identifies the key as the key matched to the car. It can be re-enabled. Other than that. EVERYTHING else works including the cassette player. power antenna. power seats. remote mirrors. nbsp; etc. This is a California Car. so there is no rust. The exterior is very nice as you can see. Last year I treated the car a new paint job new battery. a new rebuilt transmission. front end control arms. velocity joints. struts and shocks. Tires are in great condition too. The spare tire has never been out of trunk. The Interior is still in good condition for it's age with some slight signs of wear as shown in photos. The dashboard has cracks as you would expect from a car this age but you wouldn't know it because of the matching dash mat which covers the dash very nicely. The car has original floor mats. The headliner is still in good shape with a few small tears. see photos. The sun visors show signs of wear with small tears in the fabric as shown. The seats are fine. Most of the miles on this car are freeway miles going to work on an evening shift. No stop and go. so there is easy wear on the car. The car gets between 18 and 30 MPG. Oil & Filter was always changed every 5000 miles. I have all original books that came with the car including a shop manual. Wheel locks too. I have a record log of all maintenance that was done on this car since it was new with mileage and date and costs. The car has been very reliable and I expect it go go for many more miles without any problems. You will not be disappointed.
