Description for Oldsmobile Cutlass 1962
That's right, this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!! Please do not message me and ask what the reserve is, because there isn't one. High bid wins! Good luck and happy bidding. If you are planning on playing games on my auction, I've been doing this a long time and know most of the tricks. If you run this action up to scare potential bidders off and back out at the last minute, I will report you to eBay!!
Up on the chopping block is this 1962 Olds Cutlass convertible in all original shape that I am selling for a friend of mine. She purchased it at an auction in 2001 in Howard, Colorado and it has been garaged ever since. She was told when she purchased it that those were the original miles on it. It seems to be in good condition other than a little rust, a few dents, splits in the seats, missing and damaged armrests and just average wear and tear for a vehicle it's age. It also looks like the original color was a red and it was repainted black. From the little bit of driving I did, it seems to run nice and smooth. It's hard to tell from the photos of the engine, but it is an ALL aluminum V8. The hydramatic transmission seems to shift a little odd, but I think that's just how they were. I would recommend a transmission service though just in case.
The convertible top, back window, hydraulic pump have been replaced and the tires are new. It has the factory convertible top vinyl boot not pictured.
I have over 20 years of classic GM restoration experience including paint, body and mechanical repair. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, but please ask as soon as possible as I live 100 miles away from where the vehicle is stored. If you wait until the last hours of the auction, I may not be able to inspect the vehicle in time.
