Description for Oldsmobile Other 1961
This is a 1961 F85 Deluxe sedan that was discovered in 2013 stored since 1970 in a Southern California warehouse (effectively a barn find). It's been garage stored at my home since 2013. There is one original unmounted BF Goodrich Silvertown 700x13 bias tire. Includes 4 new Milestone 175/80R13 ww tires & matching size used spare. Fuel lines, plug wires & fuel pump are OEM replacements (old wires & fuel pump included). All fluids have been replaced. Car is not drivable; starts with new battery and carb leaks fuel. The brakes will need to be bled possibly rebuilt. There is small area with lipstick writing on headliner above driver; otherwise headliner is intact. Seam splits on seats; hole in driver side front and passenger side rear carpet; various dings on trim & dents on roof, and; the trunklid was vandalized leaving damage sometime during 40+ years storage including hole through rear seat. Original trunklid is bowed & included, and; there's a replacement trunklid with great skin with surface rust both sides; this is only surface rust on car. Ignition switch is NOS with OEM keys and there is OEM trunk lock/keys as well as blank OEM keys to have door locks re-keyed. This was a well optioned car when new including three tone interior, factory air conditioning and working AM radio. Has the desirable Rockette aluminum 215 cubic inch V8 with 2-barrel carb that was sold to Rover in 1964 and used widely in Europe through the late 90s. This is a great time capsule for refurbish and drive as is. Some miscellaneous NOS Parts (all I can see that is missing with car is the passenger side below dash AC duct) and original shop manuals are included. Currently Non-Opt registration with clear California title. I'll accept deposit through PayPal and remaining funds within seven days close of auction unless other arrangements are made with me. Buyer is responsible for picking up the car and I am available to meet with your carrier.
