Description for Oldsmobile Cutlass 1968
Listing my 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass S. I bought this car about 5 years ago. She is not a show car but still gets plenty of looks and people wanting to talk to you about her. This car comes with a 1968 455 motor with a TH400 transmission. I also have a 1968 400 block, pistons and other goodies from a 1968 442. The transmission in the car is the trans that came from the 1968 442. The first things I did when i got the car was to improve the handling and braking. Car has front disk brakes new springs and Bilstein shocks. I also put a heavy duty sway bar front and back. The car stops great and handles great for a 49 year old car.The Motor and trans have about 2000 miles on them and perform perfectly. Engine had all new internal components and was built by a local Oldsmobile guy and certified mechanic. All engine machine work was done by C&P machine in Fort Wayne Indiana. 10.5 to one compression. Oldsmobile C heads Edelbrock intake and carb. Hooker pro comp headers and heavy duty custom made drive shaft. Engine also has a Milodon 7 quart oil pan. Feel free to come look at the car and inspect in person. I will ship this car but you are responsible for All arrangements. Will the car make it 500 miles to drive home ? Yes It will and can even make it 2000 miles to your house. Is it a good idea ? These old cars are sweet. Are they fun to drive down the freeway at 80 ? to me the answer is no. Do they handle like modern car ? The answer is no. This car handles and drives much better than a stock 1968 Oldsmobile is all i will say. I suggest any potential buyers call and or text me at 260-307-1134 so i can answer any and all questions about the car. Trunk is 95 percent solid as is the rest of the underside of the car. This car spent most of its life in Florida. With that i will say good luck and happy bidding. PS More pictures to come.
