Description for Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 1951

This is not a show car. Runs and drives, new brakes, new fuel tank, elect fuel pump, orig 6 volt system, new dual exhaust, sounds period correct, Cherry bomb mufflers, has half assed interior, headliner is sagging. Original radio works, lights are all good, good glass. Smokes out of pass side, thought it was worn guides, pulled head, cracked, couldn't find a replacement, put it back together. Since have found a beautiful set of heads which go with the car, about a 4 hour job to change 1 head. Chrome is bad, but looks good from 20 feet. Spare tire well was rusted, cut it out and made the floor flat, worked good for routing the right side tailpipe. Needs to have modern rear shocks installed, not a huge deal just never got around to it. Furthest I drive it is to old guys lunch, 34 mi round trip. Runs cool but it's 66 years old, bring a trailer.
