Description for Oldsmobile 4 Door Sedan Restomod 1929
Elegantly aggressive - that's exactly how you should view this 1929 Oldsmobile four-door sedan that has been expertly built for both show and go. With a sleek look, custom/comfy A/C interior, overdrive transmission, upgraded suspension, and LS V8 power, it's everything you want in one distinctive street machine. The main body is all steel, which is a true rarity these days. Not only do you have most of the nearly century-old sheetmetal on display, but also custom details, like a Jeep Cherokee roof skin expertly integrated. It's part of an overall idea to be very vintage while also looking custom. The paint is a perfect example of this. Black is such a classic color, but this modern clearcoat application that gives some added gloss to showcase those swoopy fenders. And there's an awesome mixture in the brightwork where vintage pieces like the grille and dual bumpers meet modern hot rod pieces like the Cragar SS wheels staggered at 17/18 inches for a sporty stance.
Suicide doors always make for a cool look when parked at a car show, and when you swing both sets wide, the bold red interior really begins to attract attention. In fact, we have a receipt for $15k invested just for this custom interior. It's a thoughtful setup where, just like the exterior, it mixes vintage and new quite nicely. You see it on the seats. The button-top presentation has a classic look, but it's finished in a modern and supple leather. A classic 1920s machine offered plenty of interior space, so feel free to take along plenty of family and friends. There's even an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input in the custom headliner and modern R134a air conditioning to keep everyone nice and cool. But the driver is the most important in this custom Olds. That's why you have a banjo-style sports steering wheel mounted on a Flaming River tilt column, power steering, a Lokar shifter, and the dash is dominated by updated AutoMeter gauges.
More of this driver's car nature can be seen in the engine bay. After all, you can instantly spot the upgrade because V8 power was decades away when this Olds first left the assembly line. In fact, this is a modern 4.8-liter Vortec motor. There's less than 350 miles on this build, and the engine is said to have less than 70k miles when installed, so the total package is quite fresh. Plus, you have all the right pieces on this motor, including a Holley Street Avenger four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock LS1 timing control module, and ceramic-coated shorty headers adding power to this package. Not only does the suspension look fresh, but you also have thoughtful upgrades. This includes a modified frame, tubular A-arm front end, triangulated four-link rear, and power brakes with front discs and a Pete and Jakes 32 Ford master cylinder. And since the transmission is a rebuilt four-speed automatic w/overdrive, you'll easily cruise this classic near and far.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and restoration photos. This is a thoughtful, unique, and powerful total package. So if you like to stand out in all the best ways, call today!
