Description for Oldsmobile F85 1963
This 1963 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 was fitted from the factory with the "Jetfire" Package which bolted on a Garrett T5 turbocharger to the 215 cu.inch enginemaking it one of the world'sfirst turbochargedproduction cars. Power Figures were increased to 215 HP and 300 lb-ft of torque through the rarely optioned 4-speed manual transmission making this ordinary looking family car a force to be recognized. Although far from its glory days this 64,553 mile example is a good foundation for a restoration. Rust has gotten to several parts of the vehicle such as the rockers, bottom of the doors, areas around the wheel arches, the lower rear fenders, top of the trunk, rear bumper, inside of the trunk, A & C pillars, various suspension components, bottom of the foot wells, and some surface rust on the pinch welds. (see complete photo gallery for detailed images). The interior is missing the carpet, and patch panels can be seen on the floor boards. A previous owner has installed a set of aftermarket gauges which display oil pressure, coolant temp, battery voltage, and boost pressure. A hurst shifter can be seen rising up from the center. The blue vinyl interior is faded in several spots, the driver side seat has a cut and so does the rear seat. The headliner is cut and sagging. There is rust visiblein the door jams and on top of the doors. The most severe rust is in the trunk floor area, the rear lower section of the rear quarter panels, and the interior footwells. Engine is mostly complete aside from some of the turbocharger plumbing. The original turbocharger is included in the sale and is in the trunk. Engine operation was not able to be confirmed due to the missing components. Bring this rare piece of history back to its prime and enjoy tire burning spirited drives.COMPLETE PHOTO GALLERYCLICK HERE FOR COMPLETE PHOTO GALLERYhttps://carsales.pixieset.com/1963oldsmobilejetfire/
