Description for Oldsmobile 442 1969
1969 Olds 442 Post Sport Coupe. Very Rare. Rust-FreeThis is one of the very rare (only 2500 built) Olds 442 Post Coupes. It is a real 442. second and third digit of the VIN is 44. indicating it was born a 442 from day one. It spent most of its life in Arizona. then Southern California. before coming to the east coast. This car is rust-free. and never had any—floors. trunk. frame and all body panels are original and rust-free. As often happens in these hot. dry climates. great for preventing rust. hard on plastic. The steering wheel is cracked from the sun and there are two small cracks in the dash (a new one is included. ) The interior has been done recently. a very nice job. including the headliner: pearl white soft vinyl. similar to the original was used. The engine. trans and rear are original. The 400 ci engine was rebuilt recently and a mild cam was installed. giving it a nice exhaust sound. The AC is all there. but. as usual. is not blowing cold; probably needs Freon. The radio was changed years ago. but I purchased an original and will include it. It was repainted a while back. dark blue. which was the original color. As you can see in the pictures. the paint shines like a mirror. All the glass is good. All the chrome and stainless and bumpers are very nice. no rust or discoloration. This is a very solid. rust-free 442: not a highly optioned car. but extremely solid. fast and fun to drive. It gets thumbs up and compliments all the time. I have 5 other mint condition Oldsmobiles. and purchased this one to add to my collection. Unfortunately. I became disabled and can no longer drive. This is sadly the reason for my selling my collection of great classic cars. Take a look at my ’48 Ford street rod listed on ebay at this time. If you have fewer than 10 positive feedbacks. please contact me before bidding. I reserve the right to cancel your bid if you do not contact me first. I will answer any questions through ebay messages. or you can call me. Fred. at 917-721-9919 before 9 p. m. NY time.
