Description for Opel 1973
This is the very rare Opel Manta Blue Max edition for sale. I purchased this car in 2009 and it underwent a very thorough restoration. She was purchased in NY state from someone that lost interest in their restoration. Prior to that I have documented owners in California and Washington State. This is what's been done to the car: New Weber 2bbl carb, new battery, new brakes-calipers-rotors-drums all around, new coolant hoses and brake hoses, new brake master cylinder, new interior from roof to floor including front seat belts, new professionally applied paint, new Toyo tires (195/70-13), tune up, air filter, ignition wires, oil filter and oil change, transmission filter and fluid, flushed cooling system, fan belt, factory locking gas cap w/keys, new F and R rubber window moldings, sunroof mechanism and seals restored. Instrument cluster replaced with one purchased in Germany that reads in Km. Original blue vinyl top has been removed. Original wheel opening chrome trim and rocker chrome trim have been removed but are available if you want them. Interior lights and tachometer await new owner to re-connect, all wiring is there. Original instrument cluster is included in sale along with various parts including complete wiring harness. This car drives beautifully and easily maintains modern freeway speeds without any rattles or squeaks and easily passes Massachusetts State safety inspection. A real head turner, I can never bring this car anywhere without being noticed with thumbs up, or positive comments and a conversation opener when stopped. I have brought her to several car shows, and had many many positive comments about it's overall state of preservation and condition. Whoever wins the bidding will be happy. This car has a reserve price that is well below what it would cost to restore a Manta to this condition. Good Luck bidding. Some places on the web/net that have written about this very car in the past are: German Cars for Sale blog, Hemmings blog, and Bring a trailer.
