Description for Opel 1900 1970
1970 Opel 1900 GT restored. I used to own an Opel GT in my youth and now in my senior years I spent 5 years looking on and off for the best Opel GT I could find. Two years ago I found this Opel GT which was an original Texas car and never was subject to snow, ice or any corrosive salts. I purchased this car in Nov, 2017 and used it briefly before I had it stored for the winter. In 2018 I underwent 3 total hip replacements and unfortunately one of these operations left me with a paralyzed right foot, I can no longer drive this standard shift car due to my paralyzed right foot and must sell it.Opel GT's were manufactured in Germany from 1969-1974. They were sold as a GM vehicle and sold through Buick dealers. Only a limited number of these cars still exist and Classic Car followers state this is a "sleeper" in terms of increased sales value. These cars allow a buyer to enter the Classic Car market with a low investment which should only increase with time. The buyer can use this car as a daily driver or enter many Classic Car shows or "Cruise Nights". The car allows for great driving with it's light weight and superb handling. Due to the beautiful design of this car, the car is a definite head turner and the owner will always be complimented and asked many questions. There are only 51,000 original miles and over $12,000 has been spent in the restoration of this vehicle.
