1965 Volkswagen Bug Deluxe 1200 Survivor #'s VW Rack rat rod Wolfsburg

Thanks for checking out "Fritz", nbsp;my 1965 Volkswagen Deluxe bug, his is a very nice little bug that you can drive and enjoy right now just the way he is. I love the pre 1966 bugs the best with the smaller lights, ubble headlights, ust a great looking combination. If you notice this one is a Deluxe with the pop open rear windows, hrome moldings around glass, nd other trim on the car. This is a very nice little car, echanically it runs awesome, nd really a hoot to drive. Whenever I take Fritz out for a stroll, eople always smile or a wave, ou have to admit, e is pretty handsome. When Ferdinand Porsche was approached to build the VW's, o one new the impact these Bugs, hia's and Transporters would have all over the world, hat a design, hat a car, the "Peoples Car". This little Bug is in very good shape, he perfect driver for someone, o enjoy on a daily basis and show on the weekend. It runs like a dream, ust turn the key and he fires right up. I don't know what it is about it, ut every time I see Fritz, just want to take him out for a stroll, ets just say he gets plenty of exercise! Overall Fritz is a great car, ot perfect by any means, ut a great driver, hat you can enjoy every day, nd occasionally show. You have no idea how many looks he gets, very were I take him, omeone always wants to look at this little Bug it has lots of eye appeal. The body is in pretty nice shape, ery nice original floor pans, ery clean, o rust issues underneath, o undercoating or replacement panels, robably one of the best original bug pans I have seen actually. Inside the wheel wells, he inner tubes front and rear are damage free, nside the bonnet, nner aprons are perfect, he nose is in great shape, o accidents. If you see in a couple pictures, here are 2 little small spots of rust, nside the front wheel well, ehind the front tire, n the same area on each side, ery minor, ut you will see in pictures. It was painted about 15 years ago, t has a good gloss, ut it is showing its age, span>you can see imperfections in the paint, inor chips and scratches. There are some small bubbles starting in the paint in various areas, ottoms of the doors, round headlights, aillights. A few spots were the paint has blistered up a little larger, n top of drivers door near side window, nd an area by the drivers rear quarter window. Take a look at the photos, nd you can get a very good idea of what the actually paint is like, t is only if you get up close you notice some of these things. You will also notice that some of the trim has some small dings on chrome, mall indentions on bumpers and scrapes. It is not to the point were I would want to repaint it, ecause I think it looks very nice, nd in very good condition for its age, specially if you want to use it as a daily driver. I don't see any signs of any bondo abuse on this bug, t is very solid, am sure there is some on it somewhere, t is an old car, ut overall it is a pretty solid rig, nd nothing stands out to me. This is not a 100 point restored car, ust a very nice driver. Paint is very nice for a driver, ut you would take him to any show and have a great time, or now I would just drive it and enjoy, ne day you might want to give it a killer paint job, ut for now, t has a lot of charm, o I would just drive and enjoy it.

The drive train is in great shape, t runs very good, tarts up every time, t really is a joy to drive. The drive train in this car is awesom, ritz runs like a little sewing machine. I believe the engine is the original 1200, span>Engine number is 8801710, nd the Chassis number is 11500752, his car was built very early for the 1965 year, rom what I researched this car was built and engine both around July 1964. It does run very good, o major oil leaks, ut there is some seeping around the bottom of the block, t may be around the typical filter areas, t leaves a few drips after you drive it and when it sits. But there is no smokey or burning oil smell, ust typical VW engine seeping. It is very clean running, t starts right up, oes not burn any oil, as a very nice sound, ots of pep. The engine runs great, dles nicely, nd sounds great with the Monza exhaust.I believe it is the original engine to the car, ut not 100% for sure about that, riginal air cleaner, nd stuff on it still.The original 4spd transmission shifts very nice, lutch feels great, ll the gears feel very smooth. This little guy is very fun to drive, e gets a lot of looks. The brakes work great, o pulling stops nice and straight. The emergency brake works as well. Original solid VW wheels, ainted in the original paint scheme, ub caps are decent, ut one has a few small dents on it. The tires are Kuhmo Power Star 758, 165/80/15, ith about 95% tread, earing a set of Atlas Porto Walls, hey look really nice on this bug. Mechanically Fritz runs great, ou can drive him anywhere.

The interior is in fairly nice condition, eats look great, ut you can see that the seams are starting to separate in the seat bottoms and seat backs. I honestly think these are the original seat covers but not sure. If you really wanted to spruce it up, ew seat covers would be a nice add, nd they are cheap, hey run about $150-200 depending on what you get. The seat springs feel good. The door panels are in great shape, sed a little, ut look good, ome small scuffs on the door panels from shoes rubbing against them. .It is a NON Smoker, nd is very pleasant inside. The carpet looks very nice, t does have some wear on it, ostly on the drivers side, ut with floor mats in it, t you would not notice much wear. The Headliner, s in good shape, o cuts, r holes, ery nice condition. All the gauges work, as its original Saphire Radio but it currently not working. the dome light works as well. All the interior lights work, ery clean inside, tays nice and dry as well. All the dash lights work. The horn is currently not working, ut I am going to figure out why before the auction ends, o promises that I will have that fixed, ut will try my best, ipers work as well. I love hoping in this car and taking it out on a spin, ust feels great sitting inside, nd cruising him. All the exterior lights are working as well, urn signals, rake lights etc. The side door windows, span>. I double checked the bottom of the doors to make sure the drains were clear, o that way if you get caught in a typhoon you will be good. The rear quarter windows do pop out at the rear as well, hich is really handy. I did check the door locks, nd they do work with the set of keys I have has well.here that might be missing as well. Inside the trunk area, t is nice and clean, verything looks in order. The trunk liner, oes have a rip in it, ith tap on the back of it. Overall, ery nice under the hood, hat you want to see when buying an vintage bug. The glass is in good shape, he front windshield has some clouding at the bottom of it, est of windows look good, he rear ones pop in and out correctly.
