Description for BMW M5 1991

1991 BMW M5 E34 Alpine White, ray leather interior, 11K miles. 346HP. Clean title in hand.
Update: While traveling back from Nebraska last week I hit a blown semi truck tire and it damaged the front bumper and fog lights. I attempted to make an insurance claim and even with full coverage Geico did not cover the accident. So, have dropped the original price from $6500 to $5500. I have found a replacement bumper online for $175 and fog lights for $50 each. This deduction in price includes additional repairs this car needs, ead below. Please note that there is an oil leak from the oil pan gasket, have ordered a Victor Reinz gasket and oil sensor gasket which should be here by Monday. It will be included with the sale, f the car sells prior to Monday I can send it to you.
Selling my 1991 BMW M5. Alpine White with gray leather interior. Inline slant six with 307hp stock and 346hp with installed Turner Conforti Chip. Clear title and it received a Fast Pass at the emissions meaning it did so well they cut the test short. 211K on the odometer. No accidents. The suspension was upgraded with Bilstein shocks with adjustable Ground Control coilovers but the front strut cartridges are leaking and need to be replaced.
I have had the windows professionally tinted since purchase, lso the Output Shaft Seal, hift Shaft Seal, afety Plate, rive Shaft Carrier Bearing all professionally replaced on my watch. The Check Engine light is on and has been the entire duration of my ownership. It was diagnosed at Autoworks Colorado as a faulty O2 sensor. New tires installed last month mounted and balanced by Discount Tire with lifetime balancing included. Fresh oil change with Mobil 1, ransmission and rear differential change with Royal Purple.
All power windows including the sunroof work although the passenger side is finicky. All other electrical works with zero issues. The A/C is charged but does not blow cold. New Pagid front brakes installed about three months ago. It has slotted disc rotors on all four wheels and braided steel brake lines, he rotors need replacing but brake pads are good. The car has some small dings in the body and rock chipping on the front. I purchased exact match touch up paint and have covered those areas. The car is 99% rust free. The interior leather on the driver's side seat is cracked with a small tear and a bit worn, ome noticeable wear on the passenger seat but not too terrible and the rear seats are excellent. M badge on the floor mats and nice machined M/// shift knob. There are no cracks in the dash and really the interior is excellent overall. The headliner is firm and secure to the roof. This car has been very well cared for and respected.
The rear SLS needs a delete kit, t has a slight oil leak from the hydraulic line. Priced out a kit at $235. The brake rotors will need to be replaced, riced out a set for $150. The front strut cartridges need replacing, riced out a set for $200. Oxygen sensor priced out at $50. All of these costs are considered in the asking price.
I will be more than happy to answer any questions about the car, lthough I do have limited knowledge of previous ownership and maintenance. All old parts are included. Clear and clean title in hand. A brand new Powerflex rear bushing set is included. Original Owner's manual and the original BMW stereo manual are included. Original BMW stereo and CD changer are included. Please, nly serious inquiries.
I purchased this M5 at an estate auction in Evergreen in August of 2014. I did not know any of the history of the vehicle and was only allowed to start it. After purchase I was give the title and a handful of paperwork including service receipts by the previous owner(s). Also included was a box full of old parts that had been replaced. With those things and getting under the car and hood I could determine what had been replaced. It appears the suspension including sway bars and bushings were upgraded.
Here is a low-end copied version of the maintenance log just to give you an idea of what has been done;

The radio is a Pioneer aftermarket but the original BMW stereo and trunk mounted CD disk changer are included.
The entire front and rear suspension are Bilstein with Ground Control coilovers. The front strut cartridges are leaking oil and will need to be replaced.
The rust spots were hardly worth mentioning they are so tiny. I sanded and applied rust stop and exact paint touch up to those areas. There was one about the size of a Q-tip head by the rear tail light and there were some very light areas of surface rust in the trunk that I applied rust stop to. There is no rust on the door panels or anywhere else.
The tear in the seat is on the side towards the door.
The front passenger side rotor is warped and the others are worn enough to be replaced, hey have a lip on them. There is a slight shimmy while driving on the highway around 50-60mph. The last I checked which was about two weeks ago the pads all the way around appear to be good and shouldn't need replacing.
The AC has not been converted so it is R12. I can hear the bearing in the compressor so I suspect that is the culprit. I believe I priced one out at $250 or so last I checked it out. The AC hasn't worked since I've owned it, ust rolled the windows down.
The only modification other than the suspension is the Turner Conforti Chip. The shift knob and wheels are not stock. It originally had the "Throwing Stars" which I would have loved but did not come with the car. It does have the original full size spare. The tool kit is not complete. I have switched the rear tail lights with Euro clear but I do have the originals as well. It comes with the original manual. The passenger window does stick a bit, he windshield wipers need to be replaced, here are two small pits in the windshield but have been filled with epoxy, he door handle rubber needs replacing (priced out a kit for $20). I'm trying to think if there is anything else. I guess the main concern is the SLS hydraulic leak. It tends to flow down onto the exhaust and when it gets hot it does smoke a little bit and there will be a slight black oil film collected on the rear of the car. There is also a slow oil leak from the oil pan, t needs a new gasket, probably lose about 1 quart every month or so.
The engine is really strong and the clutch and transmission are great. The reverse did pop out once in a while but ever since I changed fluid it seemed to eliminate that issue. All electrical components work. I've taken it back and forth to Nebraska and it absolutely loves the highway, t was made for it. I know this vehicle fairly well now and I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to take this across the country.
