1990 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway B2K, ledgehammer Jr., of 15, erobody Convertible.
The car's name is borrowed after Callaway's record breaking fastest driven land speed record in 1988 w/ his 898Hp,1988 Corvette Callaway Sledgehammer... please see his website for more information.
6 Speed, win Turbo, 98 Engine, 86mph, WD, eautiful Dark Red Metallic Paint, otti Wheels on Z Rated Dunlops, ard and Soft Top, arage kept since new and w/ 2nd Owner since '95.
I present my 1990 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway as finished from Callaway Cars w/ its B2K dealer option adding engine, nstrumentation and body upgrades to make it only 1 of 15.
The original Callaway magnesium Dymag wheels and Goodyear tires have been set aside for another car, ow showing a set of beautiful Gotti wheels wrapped in Dunlop Z rated tires. This has car ~6850 miles original, s accident free, etains its original dark red metallic paint and I have the original dealer invoice from Crovo Chevrolet in Torrington, T, indow sticker, wner's manuals, ideo cassette and more. While the window sticker and option was over $80K then, ou can now acquire this car more modestly. I've taken it on day trips eg, rom San Francisco to Hearst Castle in San Luis Obispo w/ no problems and have only put on perhaps 350 miles/year.
The car also features the ram air system, ring exhaust, & N air filter, allaway floor mats and special twin engine hood scoops found only on the '91 model.
I have both sets of original GM keys for the ignition and works to lock/unlock both passenger and driver side doors.
The white soft top is beautiful and w/o tears, tains, ips or other damage evident.
The hard top is matching to the paint and has no defects or other damage evident from storage other than some light scratches, ot all that visible.
The headliner, nstrument gauges, eather power seats are all in working order w/ the seats having no tears, tains, ips, oles or other defects evident.
I have the 4 center caps for the Gotti wheels but I leave them off to prevent loss of breaking away from speed.
The car was serviced by Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, T during my purchase. It is in their registry.
The underside is as clean as the body and interior.
The AC unit is working but doesn't blow as cold as you want if you're not living w/ ocean fog in San Francisco, alifornia.
Attention Needed on 2 Items:
- The car drives great but w/ an engine miss detected under boost around 3500rpm, had the poor Delfi GM fuel injectors and 2 check valves replaced w/ new Bosch fuel injectors. It cleared a part of the miss but it still arises at times and what I should have done was to perform a full tune up at the time to include spark plugs, gnition wires, ap, otor and/or other. The check engine light or service light does come on and then may go out again. I think this is OBD1 era diagnostics.
- The Delco/Bose radio worked twice for me back in 1996. It likely blew a speaker amplifier which was a common problem for the Delco/Bose company due to a poor design. I left the radio/CD intact as is never replacing it. Turning it on gives a loud hum.
There are no other issues present w/ the car.
