Description for Other Makes 1963
I have for sale a 1963 King Midget Roadster. This car has been completely restored and looks outstanding. I have other cars that I show but none that will draw the attention like this little car. It would be ideal for a business to use in your store front as a display as it will draw a crowd. Almost everyone that walks by it at a car show will stop. take a picture. and talk to you about the car because it is so unusual. This car has the original Wisconsin engine and automatic transmission that is a 2 speed forward and reverse. In 1963 all king midget's have a 12 volt starting and electrical system. I have complete documentation paper work since new including the letter that Midget Motors Corporation (dated September 1963) sent to the first owner that his car was being shipped by rail to his home in Cedaredge Colorado. I also have the freight shipping receipt where it shows the charges to ship the car from Athens Ohio where they were manufactured to Colorado was a cost of $78. 40. I have documentation of all owners including the one that I purchased it from that performed a complete restoration. The King Midget Club was impressed with the car and put it on the cover of the fall 2009 magazine. I think that shows that a lot of quality restoration work was put into the restoration of this car. Since its restoration it has been taken to shows and driven in parades and enjoyed and is still in outstanding condition. The King Midget is a very ideal micro car as it does not take up much room in your garage and if trailered it can be pulled with a midsize car. One of the last picture is of a custom made boot for the top when lowered and not pictured are the side curtains. All of these cars came from the factory with the frame and chassis painted a primer red and all were undercoated. This car has a red under coating applied to the under side to match her frame and looks great. NADA collector car edition shows this car in #1 condition to be valued at $12500 and in average condition $7925. This car is not perfect but is far above average as you see in the pictures so I think my starting price is a great value. If you have any questions please contact me before you bid. Sold as is where is. Please send a $500. 00 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment is required within 7 days of auction close. Contact me on the final payment options. I am retired and can be reached most of the time. I have a clean North Carolina title in hand.
