1979 BIANCO S SERIES 2 COUPE
1979 BIANCO S SERIES 2 COUPE the best all original example in the World !! The Bianco was launched at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show in 1976. The company was founded by racecar designer Ottorino (Toni) Bianco who is credited as the designer of the first Brazilian Formula 3 car. The Bianco utilized a reinforced plastic body and fiberglass and uses the engine and mechanicals from the Volkswagen. The foremost of its variants is the Bianco S (aka Furia). Using bold European period inspiration and guidelines for the design and ended up being produced at the rate of approximately 20 units per month. Bianco also premiered later models at international auto shows and was noted for winning awards. The Brazilian company enjoyed “reasonable success” for a 1970s–era Brazilian concern, but would close the doors in 1979 due to disagreements among the principal members. The Bianco S is acknowledged to be the most recognized model of Bianco and is regarded as the flagship of the company. At its launch in 1976 at the Salon International of the New York Auto Show, it is reported that over 180 units were sold for their strongest sales performance. The Bianco S has a body made from reinforced plastic and fiberglass and displays flowing lines that are dominated by a large windshield, front trunklid, large side doors and taillights from the General Motors Opals of the era. In addition to the four low-placed headlights, the Bianco S had security structure such as bars and sheetmetal reinforcements on the sides for impact resistance. The Bianco S is powered by a Volkswagen 1,600-cc horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine that is air-cooled with dual carburetors on the platform of the popular VW. It also has a fast shifting 4 Spd. transmission. It is finished in a very attractive light Gold Metallic finish that really shows off this Brazilian design. Its Black Leather interior is as nice as any Italian car made today & is on every part of its cockpit including its roof top. It shows many traits of a Ferrari 512bbi as it is completely stitched by hand on every edge of its dash to its center console. It was completely produced by hand, the car displays features such as a beautiful wood steering wheel & shift knob, comfortable bucket seats, sporty center console & gorgeous factory alloy wheels. This example is from an important Brazilian collection that was owned by a well-recognized member of the international community and is a member of several international car clubs. This Bianco S is in a well preserved original condition having had but three owners and has been driven sparingly having a mere 30K km ((under 19K miles) from new.
