Description for International Harvester Other 1957
Up for auction is a 1953 international 4 x 4 truck or so I believe the truck is titled as a 1957 S120 but the body is that of A 1953 R110 so now that you're saying to yourself what the heck I'll explain a friend of mine asked me to sell this truck for him he bought it out of a farmers field probably seven or eight years ago and brought it to me beings that I'm a mechanic to get it running at that time we believe it was a 1953 R110 but with no title and no door tag which contains the vin it was almost impossible to tell for sure with the gas tank cleaning plugs wires cap and rotor and correcting the timing the engine fired right up after that fluids were flushed the chassis was greased breaks rebuilt and the truck drove beautifully and remained in stock form for probably the next three years when the owner approached me asking if there was anyway to make it four-wheel-drive at this time I found a donor truck being a 1957 S120 and removed all of the four-wheel-drive components and rebuild them and then installed them in the 1953 R110 the truck is now titled registered and insured as a 1957 beings it has all 1957 drivetrain mechanically the truck is sound and solid the engine is never been rebuilt but always well-maintained the transmission and clutch our original transfer case is original the drivelines have been rebuilt with new U joints both front and rear axles are completely rebuilt kingpins bearings seals brakes and drums turned the truck looks like it was built this way and drives just as good I don't know the miles as the speedometer stopped working it is one of the best well preserved old trucks I have ever seen and it is a simple joy to drive it will sustain 60 mph on the highway and has been daily driven for the last eight years with hardly any trouble please see the pictures closely I think they explain the truck well I do have some spare parts including a cluster gauge an excellent used windshield and some other miscellaneous small parts in the glove box if you buy this truck I will help you arrange shipping or I will transport it within a 700 mile radius of Steamboat Springs Colorado for three dollars a loaded mile $500 nonrefundable deposit is due at auction end and the remainder to be paid upon pick up or prior to leaving my premises if you have questions that my item description didn't answer please contact me via ask seller a question or call me at 303-five four eight-4367
