Description for Packard Clipper conv. 1953

QUOTED AS BEING AN ORIGINAL 77,000 MILES.

NOTE: I have this piece of "art" on Ebay listing setto the automatic relist for an indefinite listing period. So, ake your time to look, sk questions, r study other investments other than vehicles that kept America rolling in good & bad human endeavors. This ad is for your viewing pleasure: if you cannot buy, f you know nothing about classic motor cars, f you wished they were priced at their NEW 1953 level, r if your dealership is hunting NEW inventory. My dime, our priveledge (to vertual drive, r own a time machine designed for romance over many decades, amp; human excitements). Whether you're driving this listening to music of the classical, sounds of the seasons, ock, r rap, his machine may take you with it; to a fine place.

Power steering, rakes, op, ntenna///REBUILT motor-strong enough to support aftermarket Air Conditioning install.

**I have had two offers lower than $28k that are based upon seats as is ($28k buy is with the seats done in leather & vinyl combo &will take couple weeks due to shop is busy). These offers are close to myhappy price, ut still does not buy.Straight upand cut to the chase, 26,500 without the seats done, ill takeit (WITHOUT SEATS DONE). NO more play, ishing, egotiation;* It will never be lower priced*. From here on: The negotiators, O AWAY(or buy stocks/bonds instead). I DO NOT RETURN NEGOTIATOR CALLS LOWER THAN MY QUOTED PRICE.This car is worth every pennyI've quoted&whatever level improvements one decides upon, dded. I prefer to sell to a "first" time Packard owner type that would appreciate this perfect unrestored rendition and not try to drive my price down with "dollar drama" added cost to take it to their prima dana preference condition ( or use that tool). You're buying a taken care of, OT barn find, xample. Once the seats (these are the original seat mechanisms/frames; seats can be removed in 15 minutes & seperately taken to repair shop without car) are done to your orders, t is ready to enjoy. Ya can hardly hear it run (&, f it doesn't start in 3 seconds at cold or running temperature, 'll eat my hat)! Thats how good it is.

Take it home today, r let someone else (or, ait til I die to buy it; price would be same; my wife is classic savvy). This isa classic with very low rust, fficiently working top, ebuiltoriginal motor, mooth auto trans, the ORIGINAL interior door & back panels not needed to bedone, tarts faster than a modern car, uieter than one, ome important power options, etter than driver condition, tc, tc. This price is what they're paying forunrestored, ardtop sedans!

****NEW Battery & terminals installed8/24/2015. *****Top works perfectly & correct with the new battery. Top original hydraulic operation has no glitches orunexpected slowness (the motor & pump can be seen in engine compartment picture). Two new gas filters installed 8/26/15 (replacing one between tank & fuel pump & one between fuel pump & carburetor; transparent filters to replace old metal no see filters).

Starts, ccelerates, amp; shifts quietly. Still starts with gas pedal push & has the original old fashioned 6volt battery; positive ground. Starting is so easy the 6 volts doesn't seem to strain.

Body & Paint: solid body metals in floors & trunk (as able to see from underneath). Some bondo used on rocker in front of driver side rear wheel.Splash fender areas & wells are rustfree. The repaint is a nice job with almost no blemishes (definitely no bubbles, racking,or pops). See the added top down/windows up picture. Allthe glass is perfect as well as chrome-stainless framings. Windows roll up/down great; fairly snug up against top rubber seals. Vent windows open easy & close tight. Doors close nicely with hardly any effort & have good allignments with NO drops. No rust at the bottoms or skins.

Interior & top: This has a power top with the original motorized hydraulic pump. The top material is as pictured needing a small repair & a plastic window replace. Top clamps nicely with very little effort. The windshield header is chrome perfect; no dents or rust. Sunvisors are in niceconditions.

Engine: A straight eight originalREBUILT flatheadmotor. Smooth operation, o oil smoke, ot overheat & no valve tapping.

Transmission: Original Automatic-shifts as if it is 10 years old; not 62.

Stability: Stays fairly true on road, ut does havesteering wheel play, ut may be simply the power steering* yes, ower steering! The power brakes seem very safe

Gauges:These are working-gas, harge, dded oil pressure & temperature are mounted below dash.Back-uplights do not work. All other lights, orn, eater blower motor, peedometer, ower antennawork. Heater is hooked up .

POWER OPTIONS: STEERING, RAKES, OP, amp; ANTENNA (THE ORIGINAL RADIO IS NOT WORKING AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME).
