Description for Packard 726 1930
Up for sale is a 1930 Packard 726 Sedan. Originally purchased at Langhorne-Thomas & Co. in Berkeley, A (plaque on dash) by M.G. Ennis, he car stayed in the same family, assing to his son, ohn Bernard Ennis in 1951. John Bernard Ennis then sold the car in 1974 to Robert Erwin Brown of San Leandro, A. It stayed in the San Francisco Bay Area until 1997 when it was purchased by Ed Glick of Minden, V and the restoration then began. This car's frame off restoration started in January 2005 and was finished in January 2006. She now resides back in the SF Bay area draped in gleaming chrome, eep Maroon body color with black fenders and belt line with tan pin stripping and a completely re-built engine. The car starts every time with her new Optima 6 Volt battery. First crank brings the gas to the engine, econd crank starts her up. There is a electric fuel pump installed for areas with cold weather. All manuals as well as the original spec sheet from the dealership on what options were exercised are included as is the photo album showing before, uring and after restoration pictures. Also included is the original sales brochure showing all individual models of the 1930 Packard. The interior is done in tan and burgundy matching the exterior beautifully. All lights work, as, mmeter, riving gauge, emperature, indshield wiper, tc., ncludes the spare radiator cap (standard) as well as the Goddess of Speed hood ornament. The car also has fog lights. The car is currently located in Novato, A and is registered with an Alaskan Pink Slip where she was sent to be restored before returning to Nevada. Car drives beautifully, hifts as a Packard does with that low torque and is comfortable at all speeds. Engine is a straight 8, 30 ci, 0 bhp, eighs in at 4,265 lbs. with a wheelbase of 127.5". Box of spare parts is included. NOT included is the AAA Copper Bear license plate topper seen in the photos, ut license plates and original frames are included,
