1949 Packard Super 8 long wheel base sedan (141 inch wheel base) 22nd Series. body #2277-9. nbsp; model chassis #2222. Total production only 865. This Packard is a running driving car in good condition. Odometer reads 55. 67 which could very well be the original miles. don't know for sure. This car can be used as a driver with not too much elbow grease or restore to showroom. The tires hold air but to be a driver they would need to be replaced as they are old. The two rear quarter windows have some cracking as well as the right rear door glass. The 327 cid straight eight engine starts right up and runs good. has good brakes and exhaust. No problems with the clutch or transmission either. Emergency brake works too! Body has surface rust here and there where the paint is peeling in some areas. The roof has some peeling paint and surface rust. Passenger side area in front of rear wheel has some small holes. Trunk floor has some small holes as well which also can be seen in the photos. Gas gauge is not working. my guess is the sending unit needs replacing. Has rear folding jump seats. The car is missing the two front wheel covers otherwise complete. Has new 6 volt battery. braided ground strap. negative cable. hold-down assembly. and refurbished starter motor with NOS solenoid. There is no title so the Packard will be sold with a notarized bill of sale only. Any questions please contact me before the auctions ends.
