Description for Packard Packard 1955
Barn find...almost. This was my father in laws car, dry stored for the last 20 or so years. I got it back running and yard driving. Transmission is good. Brakes master rebuilt and all 4 drums serviced with new pads. Tank dropped, cleaned - new sending unit. Fuel pump rebuilt, and also added a new electric pump. New lines - brake and fuel. New Water pump and belts. Carb rebuilt. Engine oil changed. New Tires...though it deserves some wide whites. All lights work. I have it registered and insured, and had a few short drives, but it still needs some sorting to make it reliable. Don't expect to buy it and drive home. Not a show car, nor for someone without a bit of skills and patience. But, it is a solid all metal car with minimal surface rust. Frame is good. Drivetrain is good. Under 24000 original miles ( I have documents going back to my father in laws purchase over 30 years ago). This car is a great candidate to properly restore, but I did considered a 350 swap. Has a very unique level ride system with Torsion suspension. Rides great, but this car cannot be easily bagged or slammed, if that would be you intent.I don't need any help selling. Local buyer is best.. come look at it and be sure what it is and what it isn't. I can send video of it running. Really just want to get back what I have now have into it.
