Description for Peugeot 504 Coupé 1970
Offered for sale is a Peugeot 504 coupé Pininfarina in reasonable driver quality condition. Although relatively solid, the body should be improved at some point in the future. This car came to the Netherlands in 2007, but was never registered. Originally from the French Alpes Maritimes region, the car looks relatively well preserved. Little do we know of its history before 2004, but we do have an old picture of the car standing in a body shop. Original colour silver metallic, but the car was painted cream yellow, probably somewhere in the 1990's.
Mechanically, the car is in good working condition, with 180.000 km on the odometer. It was recently serviced in our workshop: new oil, oil filter, fuel filter, coolant, spark plugs, points, distributor cap and spark plug leads, valve cover and carter pan gaskets, brake pads, brake caliper rebuild with new brake hoses and brake fluid. Injection system cleaned and serviced. New front tyres. Manual transmission. The rpm gauge is not working and the speedometer indication is too high. We suspect the cables, but did not give it any further attention. Not all lights are working, some other electrical issues need to be sorted: heater motor, power windows.
The interior is in decent condition, but not perfect, with patina that suits a 45 year old car. New floor mats, green velours seat upholstery slightly discoloured.
The body is in fair condition, although bubbles are coming through on some of the typical weak spots. Main area of attention are the door panels (see pictures). A couple of patch areas on the bottom and inner rear wheel wells (see detailed pictures below). Two old repairs on the right hand sill and the left hand beam need attention. Apart from the doors, this is still a presentable car. It can be enjoyed as is, or decide to bring the body back to its original silver colour.
French Certificat d'immatriculation - can be registered in every EU country. International bidders welcome. We can assist with transportation (additional costs apply).
