Description for Peugeot Other 1982

Offered here with NO RESERVE is a wonderful 1982 Peugeot 505S Turbo Diesel. These were the first 4-cylinder Turbo Diesels in America. The exterior is a crisp Champagne Beige Metallic. The paint is shiny and free of damage. This vehicle looks very sharp for a thirty three year-old vehicle. There are very few signs of every day wear on this vehicle. I am not sure what the S model means but I think it stands for suspension or Sport. because this car is a pleasure to drive. both in handling and ride. The interior has a lot of comfort and safety features. There are power windows and locks. and a power sunroof. There is even a Sony AM/FM cassette stereo with a removable face. The air conditioning works. as it should. and has been converted to 134a. Not only is this Peugeot a pleasure to drive. it’s a pleasure to ride in as well. The interior is a wonderful kind of a soft cushiony Tan cloth and is very comfortable and very clean. I have owned this car about 14 years. and it has never been wet since I've owned it. I have never washed it. The car has always keep under a car cover in a garage. if it got dusty I would just wax it clean. I have only logged 750 miles since 2001. Last year the injection pump developed a small leak. so it has been rebuilt. I have a friend who has been in the business of rebuilding injection pumps for many years. After the rebuild I watched as he spent at least an hour meticulously tuning it on a test bench. When reinstalled on the car I could not believe it was the same car. It seems like the car has so much more horsepower. it was a dog before now she runs a bear. That's the Bright side of the story. Now the dark side. A rust bubble has appeared in the paint on the dog leg near the rear door. And Now the real dark side. Because I have not driven it enough the brake calipers are sticking. Recently I installed one new caliper on the front that was sticking the most. but some others are hanging up. The car can be driven. but only a short distance before the brakes start to overheat. They may be able to be exercised back into working condition but I just don't have the time. I have decided I have reached an age that I don't need try to keep a couple dozen vehicles running. Always feeding batteries. brakes and mufflers etc. and I am losing some storage space. So it will be sold to the Winning Bidder regardless of price. Please remember this is a NO RESERVE Auction. Remember when bidding on this car can not be driven away because of the sticky brakes and must be picked up on a trailer or flat bed. Shipping is the Buyer's responsibility but I will gladly help out with the logistics. this car can be shipped world wide as I can deliver the car to Port Newark. N. J. On Mar-07-15 at 12:52:25 PST. seller added the following information: I got he car out of the garage today. after several months of a very cold winter in an unheated building. I cycled the glow plugs twice and twisted the key and she fired right up. I went around the car and added photos of all that I can see wrong with the car besides the rust bubble on the dog leg there is a chip in the paint on the deck lid and a spot in the middle of the drivers seat cushion. On Mar-09-15 at 14:54:56 PDT. seller added the following information: I brought the car in the shop today and washed the tires and wheels and inner fenders. I took it for a drive to dry the rotors etc. I only went about 1 1/2 miles and not using the brakes much the temperature of the rotors on return was about 100 degrees on the rear rotors one front was about 210 and the other was about 175. I added some photos from around the car to try to show how pristine this car really is. this car is ready to take to a show!
