Description for Plymouth Fury 1962
BARN FIND!!! Calling all Mopar Fans, his is a rare find!
1962 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible, 61 V8 Golden Commando Power, utomatic torqueflite pushbutton transmission. 64,098 original miles. Currently in the vehicle is a 413 Wedge motor. 413 motor. It is a 1964, 13 truck block. It has 426 max wedge heads from 1964 with a 1962, 13 max wedge 2x4 aluminum intake with twin carter carbs. I have the original 361 motor that is included with the sale. Both motors do not run and will need to be rebuilt.
Only 1,516 Sport Fury Convertibles built in 1962
This is a 2 owner car. The second owner purchased the car back in January 1965 from the original owner. It was his daily driver until he was sent to Vietnam in 1969 where he parked the car in his parent's garage in Michigan and unfortunately there it stayed for the next 46 years. The car does not run. And will need a complete restoration.
The car is in excellent shape. All original, ever painted. The floors are solid and also the rockers and doors are solid as well. All the trim and interior pieces are present. It still has the original white convertible top. There is a little body damage on the driver side but all in all for a car that has been sitting in a garage for 46 years; this car is in great shape. This is perfect candidate for a restoration; it is not easy to find an original car to restore that is as solid as this one.
Also included and currently installed on the car is a pair of 60's custom headers and also a pair of drag slicks that were used back then. This is real old school 60's street racing stuff!
I have a clear Michigan title to the car in my name plus I also have the title from the second owner from 1965 that will go with the car.
Please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.
