Description for Plymouth Other 1947
I am selling my 1947 Plymouth as I recently suffered a stroke and no longer drive. Although I didn't get a chance to drive it much I really love this car and it was supposed to be my "daily driver" I have more than $20,000 invested in it. It has a beautiful insignia blue exterior and a new gray interior with deep red trim. I had the seat completely rebuilt, metal and upholstery) The engine was totally rebuilt less than five hundred miles ago, also had the tranny gone through with all new seals. All new shock absorbers. The wiring was converted to 12V with an all new wiring harness that will accomodate a larger engine if one desires, t is a 21 wire harness so you can add just about anything you want to the system. I have the wiring and mechanisms for electric windows but can no longer install them. They will go with the car. These mechanisms allow the use of the original widow handles and you simply move them forward or backward a couple of inches to move the windows up or down thereby retaining the original look of the interior. I have installed new halogen headlights and have incorporated the turn signals into the brake and front parking lights. I had the six volt radio (original) repaired with a heavy duty resistor but I can't get anything but a buzz from it. I probably did something wrong hooking it up. I also found an original clock (very rare and expensive) and had it converted to a quartz movement. Should last for many, many years. I have not installed this either but should go in very easily, this also goes with the car. While doing the rewire, installed a new headlight switch which allows you to turn up or dim the panel lights. Nice feature! An even nicer feature are the electric wipers. If you have ever driven an older car in the rain with the vacuum wiper system I'm sure you will know what I mean. This is not a show car or a trailer queen. I bought it for a daily driver and she is beautiful on the road. It has a few paint chips but I keep after them with my little touch up bottle. I still can't believe the looks I used to get when I drove it. The tires are BF Goodrich wide white walls with probably seven or eight hundred miles on them. The car has not been smoked in since I have had it and no pets. I am pretty sure no one has smoked in it since the new uphlostery was installed. I am sitting here racking my brain trying to think of what I've left out, 'm sure there is something. If you have any questions, eel free to call me and I l will be happy to answer them. There is no warranty implied or otherwise on this vehicle and it is for sale locally so if it sells the auction will be ended. As I state earlier, all me with any questions I will be happy to provide answers. Home 425-486-9375 or Cel 425-327-9407. Ask for MIke
