Description for Plymouth Other 1940
1940 Plymouth Coupe with a very solid and nice all steel body. Original build design was to have an Old school look and feel with some modern touches. For example blower left unpolished, echanical Fuel pump and to top it off a true Accel Dual Point Distributor to give it that real back in the day feel. Full square tube chassis and cage. Chassis built by Ed Quay Race Cars in PA. Full metal floors and large tubs in the rear are done. Fatman and Heights front suspension with mustang II type a-arm and disc brakes with fully functional power rack and pinion steering. Narrowed Ford 9 inch rear with 3.55 gear and large drum brakes has 4 link rear suspension, iagonal link with adjustable coil over shocks. Rear tires are 31x18.50-15 Sportsman streets on Centerline Convo Pro rims. Front wheels are standard 15 inch black steel wheel. Starts and runs down the road and stops very well. Has a Pontiac tilt steering column, eavy Duty cooling system, omes with all the stainless trim and new tinted glass and various original parts in a box (latches, ardware, rim pieces and all the interior metal window trim). Big Block Chevy 468 Engine is built to run on pump gas. Quality forged internals, lower cam, oller rockers and low compression piston combo to allow the 6-71 Blower to do its work. Matched Webber (edlebrock) blower carbs....sounds nasty and runs great. Trans is a turbo 400 with good street 3000 converter. 12 gallon Fuel Cell in trunk under hinged steel panel. Dual Batteries in aluminum battery box with a master cut-off switch on back of car. I have a nice hood that has not been cut for the blower yet. I like the look without a hood. I took this car in on a trade deal and do not have the time to complete, ut keep in mind the hard work is done and you could install the glass, ire the lights and hit the road. Or you can install the glass and go Nostalgia Drag racing as the car already has one Race seat installed. Lot of time and money invested already. I do have a clear Michigan title in my name as well as copy of the original title I received when I acquired the Coupe. This car is sold "AS IS" . You must arrange for transport and the car will not leave my possession until all funds have been made usable (cash). I do not have to sell this car so I will not take any low ball offers. I have no problem keeping it. Car is being offered locally and I also reserve the right to remove this vehicle from auction at any time. You can view a short walk around video of the Coupe at the following link.

This is an excellent Opportunity to own a real Steel Coupe with the hard work completed. It is at the perfect point where you can finish the interior your way and have it painted to your liking. You can take it in either direction: Pro Street Hot Rod, asser, at Rod, r make it a show car.
