This 1940 Plymough Pt105 1/2 ton pick up truck is a 4 owner truck. Included are the registrations and documents from all of the previous owners. All four owners were from oklahoma. The last owner bought the truck in 1995 with the intention of restoring it but he never got around to it. It was last titled and driven on the road in 1972 and the 72 farm lisence plate is still on the back of the truck! I heard about the truck being totally rust free and all original and went to oklahoma and bought it last year. This truly is a rare Barn find all original survivor. My intention was also to restore it but I have to many projects to get to it so i am offering it for sale. This is a very rare rust free complete pick up truck of which only 6730 were produced. The carb was rebuilt last year by the previous owner, e put a new fuel pump on, e soaked the engine to keep the engine free (engine turns), he previous owner became ill at this time and was unable to finish the restoration. this truck has the original wire harness still intact. the trans shifts all gears and the clutch holds. There are no brakes on the truck so it will need complete brakes and as you can see in the pics the glass has cracks etc and needs to be replaced ( flat glass easily fixed) In 1940 plymouth added seal beamed headlights and the parking lamps were mounted to the top head light bucket (as pictured). The upper grill was livened up by adding 3 additional horizontal steel strips. Look at the pics and study the video to really appreciate the rust free bod, olid running boards, he complete intact interior dash and cab, tc. The wood in the box is gone and there is just a sheet of plywood in the box. the truck rolls easy. The miles on the truck show 35087 and I was told it was the actual miles on the truck but as it is over ten years old, am selling it miles exempt. This woud make a great restoration all original or drop a different engine trans etc in it for a hot rod and have a great solid rust steel body. The title is a oklahoma clean and current title with matching vin numbers to the frame ready for you to register. As everyone has their own opinion on what a classic survivor truck should be, recommend you come and inspect the truck or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you before bidding.
