Description for Plymouth Road Runner 1969
1969 Plymouth Road Runner ConvertibleR6 Red (scorch red)Black Interior440 6-Pak engineAutomatic 727 TorquefliteFront Disc BrakesElectronic IgnitionRed Line Radials (6. 00 miles)This was a rotisserie restoration in 2006. Every panel. nut. bolt and bracket was scrutinized. re-conditioned or replaced as necessary to restore this classic to its former glory. As per the build sheet. which is included. the vehicle was painted R6 red and has the correct matching black interior. All of the original parts as per the build sheet have been retained and are part of this auction. The decision to install the 440 6-Pak / automatic combination was made so that all the family could enjoy this cruiser. It was decided to install front disc brakes and upgrade to electronic ignition and voltage regulator for safety and reliability reasons. All of the parts are factory OEM found in later MOPAR models. The 440 uses the Mopar purple shaft cam along with a factory stall torque converter to provide 500 horsepower. 12 miles / gallon. and stands up when you step on it. The car drives beautifully. The engine accelerates aggressively. and the transmission shifts smooth and smartly through the gears. The car stops in a straight line even under heavy braking. There is no smoke or unusual sounds from the engine and the car is rattle free. The AM radio is installed. but not working. The convertible top works and is leak free and wrinkled from much non-use. I would recommend a top replacement. This car was engineered to be a cruiser and has been driven between Ft. Lauderdale. Fl and Cleveland. Ohio twice and now resides in Boca Raton. I have included the build sheet in the photo section which was decoded by GALEN GOVIER . Whereas I professionally restore automobiles. http://www. moparresto. com . I was directly involved in every aspect of this restoration. See above for contact information. I have retained all of the receipts involved in this restoration which includes over $34. 00 in materials. ***** Included in this auction are the following BONUS items! *******383 correct engine with carb. distributor. exhaust manifoldscorrect 4-speed transmission. flywheel (fresh).
