Description for Plymouth Road Runner 1973
I have available for sale, great opportunity for the right Mopar enthusiast. This Road Runner was completely disassembled and has had rotisserie paint and body work. High quality and well over a 100 pictures documenting every step of the process.Here's the story. There is always a story. :-) I had been looking for a nice driver, speed 73 Roadrunner. Heck, y first car was a 73, 00, utomatic. I am an impatient and impulsive person. I had set a budget of $20,000. For 4 months I frantically searched and couldn't find the right car. Then, n a St Louis Craigslist Ad, as a primer black, spd, 3 Bird for $6,900. Awesome & Honest Don sold me the car. He wasn't sure about it being matching #s, nbsp;but was told by the previous owner, hat it was. He was also told that the driveline including the 3.55 rear, as completely rebuilt but had no receipts. When we arrived to pick up the car the excitement began. Solid body, LL ORIGINAL SHEET METAL and no accidents, ired right up with a nice cam, lutch was good and drove right up on the trailer. Primer black was everywhere but I could see evidence of the JF1 mist green factory color. This was the color of my first Bird. I thought wow, his is meant to be. I have the fender tag. We then verified the matching numbers on the engine and the 4spd. :-) I had a blast driving it just like it was for a few months. It hauls butt and will chirp the tires going into 4th gear.
I decided to have this very deserving car restored. I have spent over $20,000 for paint, ody, et sand, uff and stripe install. Another nearly $14,000 was spent on the following;
$1,859.00 Legendary Interiors ( Seat covers, oor panels, arpet etc. )$2,000.00 AMD (Lower inside 1/4s, oor hinges and complete glass set)$ 800.00 M&H Reproduction Wiring Harnesses$ 900.00 Just Dashes (Pad)$ 425.00 Restored Dash Frame$1,000.00 Wheels and Tires$ 400.00 Phoenix Graphix Stripes$1,300.00 Summit Racing ( Moog suspension, ngine parts etc.)$ 775.00 Re-Chromed extremely straight bumpers$ 789.00 Hurst shifter assembly and handle$ 500.00 Mint low mileage cluster$ 650.00 Restored Steering Column$ 615.00 AMS Obsolete ( Mirrors and bumper fillers)$ 743.00 Firestone Collectibles ( Washer bottle, hift boot, oor handles. etc.)$ 570.00 Inline Tube ( New fuel & brake lines, mergency brake hardware )$ 995.00 Miscellaneous
I have 90% of the receipts.Spend a few more dollars, couple more months assembling, nd you will definitely have the only one of its kind at your Mopar Show this spring.
