Description for Plymouth Barracuda 1968
1968 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA V-8 FASTBACKUp for your consideration is this 1968 318 V-8 Fastback Barracuda. This car was purchased from a family in which the owner of the car passed away. This was the gentleman's every day driver in the Summer. The car has been in a garage covered since his passing in 2009. I bought the car. installed a new fuel pump. and it started as if it was just shut off. His sons kept up on this car doing all of the maintenance needed along the way. It comes with a trunk filled with extra parts. The engine runs like a top and has had a recent valve job. It has power steering. the front end was aligned and any parts that were needed were replaced at that time. The car has many new parts including new Kelly Charger tires. newer brakes. newer exhaust. etc. Anything this car needed. the sons did so their Dad could drive it safely. Everything works on this car. the speedometer. dome lights. radio. wipers. the squirters. the horn. signals. even the reverse lights (aftermarket). The true mileage is unknown but this is the mileage on the odometer. The underneath of this car is extremely solid (see pics). The only spot that I saw that was weak was the left rear-most part of the frame rail. The gas tank was removed and the frame section was professionally repaired (see pics). It wasn't bad. I just wanted it fixed properly. The floors are all solid. the torsion boxes are all solid. just an overall solid car. The body on this car is probably the worst part. Again. this was his daily driver. The car is orange with a black lower stripe. The paint is fair but the body is wavy. Someone did a quick job on the paint and body for sure. It by all means wasn't a rot box. I just think they wanted the mechanicals good and the car one color. I'm probably making this sound worse than it is but please review the pictures to judge for yourself. If you're looking for a show car. this is not the car for you. But if you are looking for a great car to enjoy or drive daily. this is the car for you at a very low reserve. The car comes with an expired Connecticut registration and a Bill of Sale as Connecticut is a non-title state for old cars. If this is a problem. please do not bid. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
