Description for Plymouth Horizon 1990
This Horizon was owned by an elderly lady in PA as the winning bidder will see on the Title. The Horizon was garage kept from 1990 to November 2011 when I purchased the vehicle. I have never driven the Horizon in the Winter Snow or Salt. The miles on the Horizon were 30,095 when I purchased it as shown on the Title, but the Odometer & Tripometer stopped working the first time I reset the Tripometer after the first fill up at 30,250 miles.
I have no doubt that I put less than 5,000 miles on the vehicle since I used it for local trips to town only. The air cleaner that I replaced as part of the tune up before driving the vehicle, is still clean. The Horizon was only driven by me which I rotated with 4 other vehicles which can be seen in one of the pictures.
The Horizon was last driven on the road in 2015 November when I parked it for the Winter, as I did each year.
The GOOD:
The Horizon Engine and Transmission run and shift strong, with no signs or symptoms of future problems. The 2.2 Liter 4 Cylinder is Throttle Body Injected or TBI as stated on the Vehicle History Report.
The vehicle rarely needs gasoline, it is very efficient but I don't know the MPG due to the loss of the Tripometer/Odometer the first time I reset the Tripometer. A plastic gear inside the works broke which is a known problem with these vehicles according to a friend who has owned and maintained several Plymouth Horizons & Dodge Omnis.
This vehicle has a Driver Side Air Bag and the largest Original Factory Installed Radio that I have ever seen in a vehicle, which sounds great.
The Hatchback Hydraulic assist openers are new and make opening the Hatchback easy, and it remains open wide for loading groceries into.
The BAD:
The AC Compressor has a bad Electromagnetic Clutch bearing so I will ship a newly purchased assembled AC Compressor with the vehicle.
The Parking Brake has never worked due to the rear cable no longer being adjustable since the Adjusting Nut and Threaded Rod are rust frozen together. I'll include a new cable with adjuster for the next owner to replace.
There is one noticeable ding in the Hatch Back Right Lower corner under the Horizon Chrome nameplate which is hard to see in the picture, otherwise the body has no other dents or dings.
The Rear Passenger Side Rocker Panel below the door has a rust through which doesn't affect the integrity of the rear suspension (see 3 pictures). The vehicle had this rust through when I purchased it.
The Blue Paint is beginning to fade on the Top towards the rear and on the Hatchback where the window cleaner has run off of the Rear Window.
There are black specs on the paint which come off during washing when you rub each spec. Using Car Wax would more easily remove the specs.
Please excuse the blurred pictures, which I will replace on the next update.
The Horizon is for sale locally so I reserve the right to remove the listing at any time.
