Description for Plymouth Other 1950
You are viewing a very nice 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe 2 dr sport sedan. The car has hadone repaint and is the original stock colo, Peru Grey. The paint has had some brush touch ups but still looks great and does not detract from it's appearance. Please note the top of the passenger front fender as shown in the last photo: this is where a fender decoration was removed and is an oval shaped area. The chrome and stainless is all there and is in verynice condition. The wood grained dash is in great condition and I believe it to be original. Since the car was in Arizona for a number of years, the tops of the seat are faded hence the removable covers. There are norips/tears burn marks or holes in the interior and it shows very well. The carpet is in good condition as well. There is a water stain on the headliner that appears to have been there for quite some timebut is in good original condition. New Coker radial tires were installed last year and have about 800 miles on them,
All of the gauges work as well as all lights (interior and exterior) wipers, heater, horn, backup lights and even the AM radio. The speedometer works, but the odometer does not, nor does the cigarette lighter.
The 6 cyl flat head engine was rebuilt at about 90K miles. I did a complete tune up (plugs, wires, points, condenser, rotor & cap)last year, It starts, idles and runs great without any noise or smoke. The car has a 3 speed manual transmission with an overdrive unit which operate very well, but they do leak some fluid (I've been told probably seals). I simply add fluid as needed. The brakes are drum brakes all around andwork well, but it is a 1950 brake system.
To sum it all up, the car is a very nice looking car inside and outside that starts, runs, drives and stopsvery well. A very nice driver that I don't think will disappoint the buyer. There is a service manual and owners manualfor the car as well asa bumper jack and lug wrench.
The vehicle is being sold as, where is, with no warrantee or guarantiesstated or implied.
Shipping arrangements and cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. I can be available to assist with loading the vehicle.
