Description for Plymouth Barracuda 1970
You are bidding on a solid 1970 Barracuda project car with a matching numbers 318 engine. Car currently runs and drives and I was driving the car around a lot before I started todismantle it. I am slowly tearing it down for a frame off restoration when ever I have time which I don't have much of, which is why I am listing the car just to see if anybody would be interested before I pass the point of no return. I have all the parts to the car and they all go with it in the auction.I've ordered lots of new parts for this car including new dash, carpets, sound insulation, headliner, full wiring harness, new trunk floor pan, mini tub kit and stage 3 body stiffening kit from US car tool, complete body seal kit, door pin kit, and much more.
The body is in good shape considering it's age, minor rust in areas around the body (see pictures) and surface rust on the floors. Trunk floor will need to be replaced but the car is very straight and only has had one paint job in it's life. Original color is vitamin C orange. Is currently painted a factory bright red color correct for a 1970 Barracuda.
Car has factory A/C, the heavier duty posi rear end, and comes with the rally gauges. Everything worked before I started taking it apart.
My dream is to create a beautiful resto-mod using the new Hell-crate engine that just came out and I will slowly get there if she doesn't sell for what I have into it so far.
I have a video of the car running before I took it apart (https://youtu.be/tGyj0MkbWJo) and please see all the current pictures plus a couple of the car before it was apart. I've taken a lot of close up shots of areas that would need to be fixed on the body.
Let me know if you have any quesitons.
