Description for Plymouth Fury 1962
This is a rare 1962 Plymouth Sport Fury Golden Commando. I bought this with another project and will not get to it for years and I need room in my garage. BODY: The body needs some work. The driver's side has been worked on but not to my standards. The rear needs lower quarters, inner panel and work around the wheel wells. The driver's fender is in good shape but passenger needs lots of work or a replacement. The frame rails are good all the way back to the bumper supports. The doors are both in good shape. The front splash guard is from a Belvedere and has no dents. The floor need work on the Driver's side due to leak in cowl. That has been professionally fixed. Not sure why there is a hole in transmission tunnel, however in the parts was a clutch pedal so maybe a 4 speed hump was in the picture; still not sure of the Frankenstein cut. The trunk is not bad other than the rear corners, again typical for this model. INTERIOR: As you can see the previous owner had the seats recovered and are nice. Not sure why someone would do seats before the rest of the car but to each his own. The carpet is also new. The door panels are on and look as driver's low quality and will have to be redone for quality restoration. GLASS: All the glass in in the car and roll up and down. The front and back windshield have new rubber but are not sealed. Chrome is just setting on rubber and will be put in trunk for transport as well as other pieces of cast. ENGINE: Engine turns over and is a 361 but there is NO TRANSMISSION or radiator. Have a couple of sets of wiring. What you see in pictures is what you get. Pretty much complete but no guarantees. Will be a nice car when restored and rare. I will assist in loading. Tires up, steers but no brakes. Engine compartment was striped by previous owner. Clear Missouri title in my name.
