Description for Plymouth Valiant 1964

Plymouth Valiant V200 1964. This car is completely original, even with original paint. It's a very honest car which has not been messed about with in any way, except the addition of speakers in the rear at some point, and the addition of a "retro" radio recently. Currently used as a daily driver by our high-school daughter, who loves the car but now wants something that attracts less attention. I bought the car with a Massachussetts title less than a year ago. As a Massachusetts car it is likely that the mileage is genuine, and the general condition of the car supports that. Everything works, except the fuel gauge sender which I simply haven't gotten around to. All brake shoes and one brake cylinder replaced recently. All fluids (except rear diff) changed recently. New indicator switch installed (replaced wiring through steering column as well). Carb re-built 2 weeks ago. Sourced and replaced power steering pump recently. New 3 point "classic" seatbelts installed for front seats 6 months ago. We absolutely love the car, it's a blast to drive, but we have too many vehicles, and having bought this one on a whim, it now has to find a new home.
Floors and trunk are sound and rust-free. Some rust at rear (see pics) and some heavy surface rust at rear left quarter on chassis, but otherwise the chassis is remarkably sound, which supports what I have been told about this car being stored for most of the last 54 winters! Front bench seat needs re-upholstering as previous owner has held it together with multiple layers of duct-tape. Could use a new exhaust pipe, although existing patches are working... Tires have plenty of tread, but age and condition suggest that they should be changed soon...although I have driven the car at significant speed (I don't want to specify here and incriminate myself) with no issues.
Any parts and manuals I have will come with the car, including original owner handbook, some chrome trim parts, bearings, brake cylinders, spare steering pump (needs re-furb), and many more...

This car is a fantastic basis for a full restoration, low mileage and complete. Currently registered and located in Connecticut. Happy to discuss delivery within a reasonable range, as I'd love the drive. Otherwise, come and get it.
