Folks your here for a 1979 T/A TRANS AM, his is a 2 owner adult owned vehicle that is also an all number's matching original oem equipment car.it has the special handling package with the 2.73 Axel Ratio Posi Traction rear with factory aluminum Wheels, he car need's very little attention to be a 100 point show car. It does draw tons of attention as it sits. The car is owned by a true Trans Am enthusiast. I'm not a kid I'm in my mid 50's live in an upscale community, 'm also a private owner not a dealer.
Here's the break down on the on the car..
Since I purchased the car I have done the following to it. cleaned out the entire fuel system, nstalled a brand new Edelbrok Performance 750cfm carb, ew brakes, ew true dual no cats exhaust system, ew valve cover gaskets, ew starter, ew battery, ew windshield, hanged all fluids. bump the key the car fires right up ready for some cruising. The cars interior is an easy 8-10 looks near perfect has the original 8-track am/fm stereo in the dash. power windows do work, ower locks are slow, he factory original horn is still working even the rear defrost works,Has all new rubber window sweeps with new rubber window seals, he carpet could use a very slight cleaning dash has 1 small crack, he blower motor for the heater is intermittent has A/C but missing compressor the rest of the components to make it function are otherwise there, his trans am is a very rare hard top coupe..it has no leaky t-tops to worry about. The cars body is in fantastic shape for the year, as a few bubbles just starting to show. needs lower front grilles and windshield wiper blades, he car has been painted at some point in its life looks decent, he floors are solid the trunk has a cpl small spots needing attention..This car runs and drives fantastic.
This is a very rare optioned Trans Am because it is a hardtop Y84 (T-top delete) According to Pontiac records all 1979 SE cars were built with T-tops. Pontiac motors used the larger 403 high output 6.6 liter motors in the non-T-Top cars..
In short you would be very hard pressed to find a 1979 Trans Am in this good of original condition..
