Description for Pontiac Firebird 1967
1967 Firebird 400 with original 325hp engine. transmission and rear end. PHS documents go with the car and support the originality of the car. Please ask questions and I can email more pictures upon request. This is a very well optioned 1967 Firebird 400 with original drive train. It retains the original 400 engine (code YT) with 670 heads (engine Unit Number 718922 as show on PHS documents and in picture of engine block below). It also retains the original TH400 transmission (code PX). The rear end is the original single traction bar 3. 08 open. The car has had a repaint but was originally Tyrol Blue with black custom interior which is still present. The car is also optioned with Air conditioning. rear trunk mat. push button AM/FM radio (missing). center console. dual exhaust. power steering. soft ray glass and black vinyl top. The car runs very strong and fires up with one pump of the gas and a flick of the key. The car has had a recent tune up with new AC delco plus. wires. cap. rotor and points. The Quadrajet carb works great but could use a choke stat so the throttle plate will go completely vertical. The car runs as drives but will need some minor attention to be more consistent. The power steering pump has been rebuilt but the top to of the steering body input shaft has a leak. Please look at pictures below. Feel free to ask for more pictures or to see the car in person and make your own opinion. The body is very solid and rust free for the most part. There is some scaling on the floor pans in the foot well areas and under the vinyl top. The car does have an incorrect 1968 Firebird front valance and marker lights on it. The hood has been replaced with a new Dynacorn Steel hood with new Dynacorn Hood hinges and springs. The hood original hood latch goes with the car but has been changed out with a 1968 Style to accommodate the safety catch on the hood. The inside of the driver side quarter does show a previous repair and there is some damage on the driver side outer wheelhouse as well. The car does have some body filler in the tail pan and quarter panels but it appears to be because of dents and not rust. If you are interested in the car feel free to message me and I will provide my cell number. --Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time-- --Buyer is responsible for all shipping and transport costs. I will help with loading. The car runs and drives so pulling it onto a car hauler is no problem -- $500 must be paid within 24 hours of the auction ending. The remainder of the balance will be cash on pickup. If you are having a transport company move the car please contact me for payment options. The car will not leave until the payment has cleared.
